Their first collaboration was with Vietnamese singer Thanh Bui for the remix of Danger in 2014. Since then, the Grammy-nominated group has built an impressive resume of collaborations.

The unlikely duo of BTS J-hope and Becky G, collaborated for the release of the quirky song, Chicken Noodle Soup in 2019. The BTS song was inspired by Webstar and Young B’s song of the same name, which featured The Voice of Harlem.

The groovy BTS song is a declaration of the duo’s self-worth, dreams, and skills and peaked at number 1 on the Billboard US World digital singles chart.


2) On featuring Sia

When BTS dropped the full track list of their MAP OF THE SOUL: 7 album in 2020, fans were surprised and excited to learn of the single, On, which featured the Australian powerhouse singer and songwriter, Sia.

The BTS song, which talks about the sacrifices made by the group to achieve success, peaked at number 4 on the Billboard US Hot 100 list.


3) Eight by IU and BTS Suga

In 2019, EDAM entertainment, the agency of the celebrated Korean singer, IU, announced a surprise collaboration between herself and BTS Suga.

The BTS song, released in 2020, explores themes of memory, longing, and sorrow. It was IU’s comeback single after her mini album release in 2019. The nostalgic pop-rock song peaked at number 1 on the K-Pop Hot 100 and Gaon chart.


4) Boy with Luv featuring Halsey

It came as a surprise that Halsey could fit so well into the K-Pop aesthetic, with the colorful ensembles and choreographed dancing. The Without Me hitmaker admitted to the Korea Times in 2020, that the K-Pop idols' dedication to perfect presentation caused her to improve her art.

The funk-pop 2019 BTS song, which talks about finding happiness and love with the smaller things in life, peaked at number 8 on the US Billboard Hot 100 upon its release.


5) My Universe by BTS and Coldplay

In May 2021, Chris Martins of Coldplay fanned the rumor mill by hinting at a possible collaboration with BTS during an interview, and ARMY and Coldplay fans began retweeting the rumor whilst urging the popular artistes to make the collab a reality.

In September 2021, Universe, released by BTS and Coldplay, is about how love transcends all borders and rules. It peaked at number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.


6) That That by PSY and BTS Suga

In 2022, BTS Suga revealed his collaboration with Gangnam Style singer, Psy, which left fans surprised. The unlikely pair took to their social media accounts to update fans about a music project, produced by BTS Suga.

That That, which was released in 2022, as the lead single from the album, Psy 9th, celebrates the beauty of togetherness after isolation. It peaked at number 1 on South Korea Billboard.


7) Bad Decisions by Benny Blanco, Snoop Dogg and BTS

In an unexpected collaborative move, BTS hopped on the single track, Bad decisions with Benny Blanco and the West Coast hip-hop legend, Snoop Dogg. Jin, Jimin, V, and Jungkook of BTS, lent their vocals to the track which became an instant hit upon its release in 2022.

The song, which talks about spending time with a loved one, debuted at number 10 on the Billboard Hot 100.


These BTS song collaborations turned out as great hits, ranking high on musical charts and establishing BTS as a genre-defying group.
