On December 4, 2024, BTS' Jin released a new episode from his reality show, RUN JIN. Episode 12 came after the musician aired episode 11 a month ago and took a brief pause to release and promote his debut solo album, Happy. The latest episode from his reality show featured popular mukbang influencers Kim Min-kyung, Yoo Min-sang, and Yoon Hwa.
During the show, Yoo Min-sang playfully teased their female co-star and mukbang content creator Yoon Hwa about her short height as her feet weren't touching the floor when she sat on the chair. Coming to her rescue, the BTS singer immediately cut Yoo Min-sang and told him nobody can disrespect anyone in the show.
The clip went viral online, especially in Japan, as fans lauded the Grammy-nominated artist for standing up for women. One fan wrote on X:
"we love respectful men"
Fans praised the BTS singer and called him an "absolute gem," stating that every man should take notes from him.
"It is a once in a blue moon to see a man doing this in today's society. The man that you are, Seokjin." one fan wrote.
"Jin is a real man . Absolute gem and every man should learn from him. It's so important to call out your fellow men, he did just that." another fan wrote.
"The only reason my idol went viral is because of his achievements and attitude. That's why i love him," one other fan added.
Others highlighted how the BTS idol stood up for Yoon Hwa in the kindest way.
"And then the whole show, he ganged up on the dude but also fed him good and said bye. Really killed him with kindness, so elegantly," one fan said.
"This man literally help a lot of army with body issues by creating a segment called eat jin and has always been a body positivity person. ain’t no way seokjin gonna let that man bullshit slide and im glad that he did that." another fan stated.
"Like I was wondering why it didn't go viral this side !!! I was so thankful that jin said this during the episode," another fan remarked.
BTS’ Kim Seok-jin: A journey of global success from military to music
