On September 29, the GOT7 member shared a concerning Instagram story. The story stated that he would be "gone for good" in 2025, which immediately raised anxiety among the fandoms. This was followed by the idol's troubling reply to a supportive fan comment on his "goodnight" tweet.
Previously, in July 2024, just before his comeback, the Idol alarmed fans by sharing an Instagram story. In the story he expressed a desire to sleep and never wake up, hinting at exhaustion, further igniting discussions around the intense pressure he faces and its toll on his mental well-being.
He later assured fans that his mental health had improved. However, he continued to express dissatisfaction amidst his demanding schedule. On September 23, he announced that he would be taking a break.
