Stray Kids' latest music video for GIANT sent fans into a frenzy, with a viral theory drawing parallels to the anime Attack on Titan. Released on November 12, 2024, the video quickly gained traction on social media. Fans were excitedly pointing out its similarities to the anime, especially the imagery and themes.

The theory, which connects the GIANT MV to Attack on Titan, sparked a wave of online discussions. Viewers highlighted the striking visual references and dramatic storytelling that mirror the anime's plot.

One particular moment in the MV, referencing Attack on Titan's protagonist, Eren Yeager, further fueled the theory. This theory led one fan to comment,

"Welcome back Eren."

The crossover has captivated both Stray Kids and Attack on Titan fans, making the theory a trending topic across social media platforms.

"We have IN lifting the rock as the iconic moment where Eren in titan form covers the wall with the rock, then we have another scene where you can see the marks under his eyes that appear when one leaves the titan... WE HAVE A REFERENCE OF SHINGEKI IN THE GIANT AAH MV," expressed one eagle-eyed fan.
"just watched giant mv & the scars(?) on i.n face is that attack on titan reference?!?!" Another fan noted.
"the ant colony imagery in giant reminds me a lot of the brain references in maniac mv. you can see the electrical impulses on the white bg, meaning skz are inside the brain causing havoc and making them a "maniac". i think skz in giant are ants controlling a giant mech or smth," an X user shared their theories.
"this is so clever + it echoes the marks they have under their eyes which can be a reference to AOT (in which when human transforms into titans they are in fact inside the titan in their human form, controlling the giant, linked by the skin under their eyes)," pointed out one netizen.

The viral theories have heightened the excitement surrounding Stray Kids' new release as fans continue to share their theories and interpretations online. Fans also praised the boy group for incorporating anime references into their music videos, sharing their love for the band's creative approach.

"I love so much that skz makes references anime in his music/mv/concepts. Recently we had One Piece and now Attack on Titan, what's next?🧐🧐🧐" Shared one fan.
"STRAY KIDS I LOVE HOW YOU ARE GOING TO MAKE REFERENCE TO MY FAVORITE ANIME STOP STOP," another fan posted.
"I love when they make anime references, it's art 🚬" One individual remarked on X.

On November 12, 2024, Stray Kids released their new single, GIANT, with a music video on their official Japanese YouTube channel. The video captured the attention of fans, who noticed a striking resemblance to the anime Attack on Titan.

The MV's imagery and scenes reflect the themes of the anime, sparking excitement among both Stray Kids and anime fans. Previously, the band's Muddy Water also included references to Demon Slayer.

GIANT is the title track from Stray Kids' new full Japanese album, also titled GIANT, released on the same day. The track is written and composed by 3Racha - Bang Chan, Changbin, and Han.

The song explores the idea that, while a person may seem small on their own, their dreams, ambitions, and desires can make them a giant. The music video portrays Stray Kids as ants working together on their ant hill, discovering rare items to help them grow into giants in the universe.

GIANT is Stray Kids' second Japanese-language studio album and their fifth overall. It was released through Epic Records Japan on November 13, 2024, following their 2023 EP Social Path / Super Bowl (Japanese Version). The album is produced by 3Racha, Chae Gang-hae, DallasK, Hong Ji-sang, Kim Ju-hyeong, Restart, and Versachoi.

GIANT includes three singles: Night, Falling Up, and the title track. Night and Falling Up are themes for the Workshop Battle arc of Kami no Tō: Tower of God season two. Other tracks on the album are WHY?, Saiyan, Aiwokuretanoninaze, Christmas Love, the English version of NIGHT and Falling Up, and an instrumental version of Christmas Love.

Previously, Stray Kids unveiled their ninth Korean-language extended play, ATE, on July 19, 2024, just eight months following the release of their previous EP, Rock-Star (2023). The album was released through JYP Entertainment and Republic Records.
