BTS' Jimin is set to turn 28 on October 13, 2024. Born in 1995, the idol's birthday celebration has sparked preparations in Busan. On October 11, the Busan Nam-gu Office announced an intensive management period from October 11 to 14 to ensure safety.

This decision comes in response to the expected surge in fans visiting the artist's father's Cafe, ZMILLENNIAL (changed from MAGNATE), a popular spot for the Smeraldo Garden Marching Band singer's birthday festivities.

This announcement has ignited excitement among his fanbase. One fan expressed their feelings on X, writing:

"when you're THE JIMIN so your birthday is so important"

Each year, hundreds to thousands of BTS fans flock to the Cafe to celebrate. With his birthday falling on a weekend this year, officials expect an even larger crowd. Fans have taken to social media platform X to share their excitement.

"Jimtober really is like a national holiday 🥹 Jimin is so loved" a fan commented.
"JIMIN IS SO LOVED OH MY😭😭" an X user wrote.
"When the prince of busan has a birthday" a fan commented.

Fans have declared the Promise singer's birthday as the festival of the year.

"OMG IT HAPPENS AGAIN? 😭😭😭 JIMINS BDAY IS THE FESTIVAL OF THE YEAR 🤭🤍🥳" a fan wrote.
"It's started 🥳🎉 celebrating Jimin's Birthday like a Festival" another fan shared.

Safety measures heightened as BTS fans prepare to celebrate Jimin's birthday in Busan

According to a report by Busan Ilbo, around 1:50 pm on October 11, a group of foreign fans gathered in Daeyeon-dong, Nam-gu, taking photos in front of the Cafe, owned by Mr. Park, the artist's father.

These fans have come to celebrate the Who singer's upcoming birthday. At the cafe's main entrance, gifts and flowers from fans from various countries, including Hungary, Ukraine, Mexico, Japan, and China, have been placed.

"I came down to Busan early because I thought it would be too crowded on the weekend," a BTS fan said.

As the BTS member's birthday approaches, local governments and police are taking extensive safety measures. They are preparing for potential safety incidents due to the expected thousands of visitors at the cafe.

According to a report by Busan Ilbo, the Nam-gu Office estimates up to 3,000 fans will visit ZMILLENNIL to celebrate the idol's birthday this year. An official from the Nam-gu Office noted that as many as 400 people could gather near the Cafe at any given time.

In the wake of the Itaewon disaster in 2022, local government heads are now responsible for safety management at festivals without organizers. For local festivals expected to draw large crowds, government leaders are required to develop safety management plans and implement necessary measures.

The Nam-gu Office is enhancing on-site safety by deploying 36 staff members, including personnel from the disaster situation room. With many BTS fans arriving at the Cafe in large buses, road control has become essential. The police have also been asked to assist in addressing illegal parking issues.

“Considering that BTS Jimin’s birthday falls on the weekend this year, we have deployed more safety management personnel than last year,” an official stated.

An official from the Nam-gu Office Safety Management Division added:

“We will make every effort to manage safety, including parking on the shoulder, illegal parking, and crowd management.”

The BTS member is currently fulfilling his mandatory military service as a Korean citizen and is expected to be discharged in 2025.
