Seoul Busters is a crime comedy-drama about Dongbang Yu-Bin, a highly intelligent, attractive, and athletic individual who holds a prestigious professorship at a renowned university outside of South Korea. Besides his excellent reasoning skills, he is also known for his unpredictable behaviour and sense of humor.

Declining the offer of a lifetime faculty position, he returns to South Korea and assumes the voluntary role of chief of the Violent Crimes Unit 2 at Songwon Police Station. This particular unit holds the unfortunate rank at the bottom of the nation regarding arrest performance. Yoo-Bin's primary goal is to transform this struggling unit into one of the most successful detective teams in the country. Kim Dong-wook plays the role of Dongbang Yu-Bin in Seoul Busters.

Park Ji-hwan is assuming the role of Mu Jung-ryeok, the experienced detective of Violent Crime Team 2 at Songwon Police Station. With a background as a former national boxing team member, he is a sharp-tongued intellectual detective with a distinct charisma despite his rugged appearance.

The character of Jeong Jeong-hwan, a lifestyle detective in the Violent Crime Team 2 of Songwon Police Station, is portrayed by Seo Hyun-woo. A former member of the national shooting team, Jeong Jeong-hwan had aspirations of achieving multiple Olympic titles but ultimately ended up being the king of mountaineering. Driven by the desire to provide for his wife and four children, he takes life risks in his pursuit of promotion.

Park Se-wan will portray Seo Min-seo, the sole female Violent Crime Team 2 member at Songwon Police Station. Despite her polished appearance, she possesses a relaxed yet down-to-earth demeanour. Her straightforward honesty and unwavering inner strength make her the most valuable asset to the team.

The youngest Violent Crime Team 2 member at Songwon Police Station, Jang Tan-sik, is portrayed by Lee Seung-woo. He is a pleasant young man who frequently makes mistakes, earning him the name "long sigh." However, he compensates for this with his exceptional ice-buying abilities and boundless enthusiasm.

Son Eun-seo is also in Seoul Busters as Jang Eun-kyeong, the Chief Forensic Scientist at the National Forensic Science Laboratory, who oversees most crime scene investigations.
