The father of BTS member Jimin reportedly removed his son’s photos from the official Instagram account of their Busan-based café, ZMILLENNIL, formerly known as Magnate. Fans alleged that the decision was motivated by escalating online harassment targeting the family, leaving many ARMYs deeply concerned about the emotional toll of such negativity.
The decision to delete all posts related to Jimin from Instagram sparked conversations about the ongoing challenges celebrities and their families face due to cyberbullying. ARMYs rallied to show support for Mr. Park, emphasizing their gratitude for his warmth and dedication to the fandom.
Many urged stricter measures to address online harassment and protect public figures and their loved ones. Several fans lashed out at haters and "solo" fans of other BTS members for allegedly harassing Jimin's family for displaying the K-pop idol's hats, pictures, and signed albums at their café. ARMYs were stunned to see the hatred his family received for displaying pictures of their own son.
Furthermore, the idol's father reportedly turned off the comment section on the café's official Instagram account to avoid negative comments.
"he deleted everything about his son from their page... you know how heartbreaking this is. i'm literally crying," one fan wrote.
Despite the challenges, ARMYs remain committed to supporting the Park family and their café. They criticized haters and antis for bullying the BTS singer's family.
"Even people who have nothing to do with bts can post bts photo on their Instagram and any restaurant and cafe can show it off, But Jimin's dad is the only one in the world who can't do that. Jm's daddy can not post his son photo. Because of those crazy shippers.." one fan said.
"I can't wait for the day when karma hits the stupid tkkrs and akgaes hard mfs," another fan wrote.
"Shippers need to be held accountable!! like how are you this comfortable with shipping two REAL people eve to the length of harassing members’ family? shippers are worse than solos," one other fan added.
Others mentioned how they wished that the WHO singer-songwriter and his family would start holding the anti-fans accountable for their distasteful actions.
"Notice every single time they want to hate on jm they brag about knowing his dads cafe has their comments open? they have never needed a reason to harass jm and his family and im tired of everyone saying its all due to his solo fans," one fan said.
"Sometimes i wish jimin or anyone from his family can call them out so maybe armys, maybe, will finally take notice and act," another fan wrote.
"Jimin father at this point need to hire some staff to sort out every non jimin related gift. They always bring nothing to jimin but hatred," one other fan added.
More about BTS' Jimin's family café, his charities, and his father's secret philanthropic acts
Located in Busan, the café initially named Magnate was rebranded to ZMILLENNIL after trademark complications. Opened in 2019, the café became a favorite spot for BTS fans, offering an elegant ambiance with affordable treats. The renaming aimed to reflect its connection to younger generations, with the name blending “millennial” and “Z” to signify inclusivity.
Jimin’s father, Mr. Park, has always embraced the BTS fandom. In February 2024, he created a letterbox at the café where fans could leave letters for Jimin, who enlisted for South Korea’s mandatory military service in December 2023. Many fans appreciated this thoughtful gesture, which provided a sense of connection to the singer during his absence.
Additionally, several footage, pictures, and clips of Mr. Park meeting ARMYs outside his café— who had been waiting for hours to get a seat at the café— and handing them free yogurts and water bottles went viral online on numerous occasions.
The BTS idol began his military service alongside fellow BTS member Jungkook on December 12, 2023. His father publicly shared his emotion on Instagram, thanking ARMYs in Korean, Japanese, and English for their support. The heartfelt post, accompanied by Jimin’s solo track, Promise, highlighted the family’s deep connection to the fanbase.
The Park family’s compassion extends \beyond social media. For years, Mr. Park has been discreetly donating boxes of ramen to low-income families in Busan. According to a Dipe report in September 2023, He donated over 76.5 million KRW (over $52,905.08) worth of crates of ramen to economically disadvantaged families in Busan for years.
In 2021, Mr. Park donated signed BTS albums to the UN Peace Volunteer Corps so that the organization could auction those albums and raise funds to support children from low-income families. Hence, the BTS ARMY were enraged to see anti-fans cyberbully Jimin's family online as of December 2024, despite their continuous contributions to society.
Similarly, the BTS idol has made significant donations to education and health initiatives. Notably, according to Korean media, he contributed 100 million KRW ($69,600) to aid low-income students in his hometown of Busan, and provided 1200 desks and chairs to underprivileged schools. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he also donated 100 million KRW to the Busan Metropolitan City Office of Education.
In November 2024, Maeil Business Newspaper reported that the Like Crazy singer-songwriter donated 100 million KRW (USD 69,600) to the "Wisdom Dedication Friendship Fund," to support the families and kids of South Korean military soldiers who had sacrificed their lives on the line of duty. The foundation is jointly conducted by the Army and Chungnam Community Chest of Korea.
In other news, the MUSE singer-songwriter will return to the music industry on June 10, 2025.
