The South Korean television series Your Honor premiered its seventh episode on ENA at 10 pm KST on September 2, 2024. Adapted from the Israeli television series Kvodo, Your Honor is a captivating crime thriller and revenge drama.
It follows the story of an upright judge who attempts to conceal his son's involvement in the unfortunate death of a criminal gang leader's son. This ignites the gang leader's relentless pursuit of justice.
In the previous episode of Your Honor, Pan-ho got more involved in Kang-heon's complexities. In the seventh episode, these complexities create a dilemma for him as his son gets involved, and Sang-hyuk's case goes to court.
Kim Kang-heon (Kim Myung-min) in Your Honor is a ruthless crime boss and Chairman of Woo One. He is currently serving a two-year prison sentence for assault but remains a devoted father. Song Pan-ho (Son Hyun-joo) is a respected judge and dedicated single parent to Song Ho-young, a gifted student at Seoul University, portrayed by Kim Do-hoon.

Your Honor Episode 7 Recap: The case of Sang-hyuk goes to court
The beginning of the seventh episode of Your Honor takes viewers back to Pan-ho's wife's funeral, where Chae-rim asks for forgiveness for what happened, saying it's all her fault.
The next scene cuts to Ho-young being taken to a hospital as he has taken more than one sleeping pill in an attempt to end his life. Pan-ho talks to him once he gains consciousness and suggests that he should enjoy himself and engage in activities typical for his age. He reassures him that it is fine if he chooses not to focus solely on studying.
Ho-young, however, contemplates the probable loneliness his mother, who has ended her life, may have experienced. He feels a sense of guilt for not being able to protect her despite Pan-ho's assertion that it is not his responsibility.
The episode of Your Honor returns to the present, and Pan-ho is waiting for Kang-heon. He thinks back to the video of him killing Tee Rab. Kang-heon appears and tells Pan-ho he will face consequences for whatever he has done behind his back till now. He asks him to trust the fear, which is the only way he can protect his precious ones.
The case involving Sang-hyuk is brought before the court and presided over by Judge Pan-ho. Prosecutor Kang presents the prosecution's case, outlining the alleged murder committed by Sang-hyuk. However, Sang-hyuk's defense asserts that the evidence presented by the police is insufficient to confirm his guilt in the case.
In the subsequent scene of Your Honor, Ho-young meets Kim Eun at a restaurant. While Eun is in the restroom, Ma Ji-yeong approaches Ho-young and inquires where he met Eun. Upon hearing his reply, Ji-yeong proceeds to express her concern regarding Eun's young age and the emotional impact of her brother Sang-hyun's passing.
She expresses relief that Eun finds laughter in Ho-young's company, hoping it can wash away her pain. However, she warns that if he is merely toying with Eun's emotions, his life will be at risk. After exchanging pleasantries with Eun upon her return, she leaves.
During dinner that evening, Pan-ho suggests that Ho-young relocate to the United States due to unfavorable circumstances. When Ho-young inquires about the reasons, Pan-ho declines to provide any details. This angers Ho-young, who attempts to leave, but Pan-ho stops him.
Ho-young then asks him if Kang-heon is blackmailing and pressing him to give Sang-hyuk a non-guilty verdict. He tells Pan-ho that if he gives a non-guilty verdict, Ho-young will turn himself in. He tells Pan-ho that unless he promises him that he will not do such a thing, he will go to Kang-heon and confess to killing his son.
Ho-young yells at his father, saying Sang-hyuk is the reason his mother is no more. Pan-ho says that she died because of her depression. Ho-young claims that her depression stemmed from no one believing her when she said Sang-hyuk sexually assaulted her. He also blames Pan-ho for his mother's depression.
Pan-ho is shocked and asks him, bewildered, if Ho-young purposefully left Sang-hyun that day, knowing he would die. Ho-young doesn't answer and asks Pan-ho - what if he has done it intentionally? Shocked, Pan-ho slaps him across his face, but the next moment, he apologizes.
The next morning, Pan-ho can't find Ho-young anywhere in the house. He leaves a message for him before going to work. On the way, Jo Mi-yeon picks him up and tells him to give Sang-hyuk a guilty verdict. One by one, she wants him to get Ji-yeong and Kang-heon and bring the whole Woo One down legally.
In the next scene of Your Honor, Sang-hyuk's lawyer questions a young witness who claims to have seen the murder but refuses to identify Sang-hyuk as the perpetrator. The lawyer suggests that this accusation against Sang-hyuk may be a personal vendetta pursued by Detective Jang, who is currently missing.
Following the court proceedings, Pan-ho meets Yi-hwa and requests that he initiate contact with the Blue House to start processing their proposed plan. He also contacts Chae-rim's teammates and requests them to locate Ho-young as a personal favor. This phone conversation is overheard by an informant of Kang-heon, who promptly informs Kang-heon of this development.
Park Chang-hyuk contacts Pan-ho and asks him to meet if he wants to find his son. Upon meeting, Chang-hyuk informs Pan-ho that his son may be in danger. He then leads Pan-ho to the front of a convenience store, where Ho-young and Eun are seen sitting together and engaged in conversation.
Kang-heon, who is already watching them, expresses his contentment with Eun's happiness but acknowledges his discomfort with her association with Pan-ho's son. Pan-ho promises to give Sang-hyuk a non-guilty verdict again and asks him not to do anything to Ho-young. Following his promise, Kang-heon leaves, and Pan-ho enters the store to the surprise of both Ho-young and Eun.
After returning home, Pan-ho informs Ho-young that Eun is the sister of Sang-hyun, whom he had killed. Pan-ho is surprised to learn that Ho-young is already aware of this fact. However, Ho-young assures him that he will not meet Eun again. Pan-ho is once again shocked and wonders if Ho-young intentionally killed Sang-hyun.
The following day, in the episode of Your Honor, Jang Chae-rim, who was abducted and nearly killed while investigating the case of Sang-hyuk, appears in court to provide her testimony. She mentions Sang-taek's son and indicates that he will soon be available to offer his account as a witness in the case, increasing Pan-ho's dilemma.
This news reaches Kang-heon, who asks his men to look for Sang-taek's son. The next morning, Ho-young doesn't pick up Eun's phone calls, so she goes to his house. She follows him to his university library and asks him why he is not replying to her. He tells her that her dad is a scary person and that if he finds out that they are dating, Ho-young's father can die. Listening to this, Eun passed out.
Pan-ho meets Chae-rim in disguise and asks what happened. She tells him that she now believes Lee Sang-taek might not be the killer of Sang-hyun. She suspects Pan-ho and his son for it. However, she says that right now, she is not after that, as Sang-hyuk is her main goal.
Next, in the episode of Your Honor, Eun gets admitted to a hospital. Her parents find the messages she left for Ho-young, who hasn't replied to any of them. So Kang-heon makes Park Chang-hyuk pick up Ho-young.
Upon meeting Ho-young in the next scene of Your Honor, Kang-heon asks him not to leave Eun's side. Ho-young replies that even though his father has asked him not to meet Eun, he knows that Kang-heon is threatening him right now and will not spare him if he disobeys Kang-heon's order.
Then, as Ho-young takes a sip of the tea placed in front of him, he gets an asthma attack right in front of Kang-heon. Seeing him using an inhaler, a realization dawns upon Kang-heon. This is where the seventh episode of Your Honor ends.
