The ninth episode of the South Korean series Your Honor was released on ENA on September 9, 2024, at 10 pm KST. It is a gripping crime thriller and revenge drama that has been adapted from an Israeli show named, Kvodo.
Your Honor follows a respected judge, who tries to cover up his son's role in the accidental death of a gang leader's child. However, the decision triggers the vengeful gang leader to start seeking justice for his child.
Your Honor stars Kim Myung-min as Kim Kang-heon, the crime boss and chairman of Woo One. He is ruthless as a crime boss who is a devoted father who is serving a two-year prison sentence for assault. Meanwhile, Son Hyun-joo portrays Song Pan-ho, a highly respected judge and a dedicated single parent to Song Ho-young (Kim Do-hoon). The latter is a gifted student who is studying at Seoul University.

Your Honor episode 9 recap: Pan-ho passes a non-guilty verdict to save Ho-yeong
The latest episode of Your Honor was released on September 9, 2024, and showed Chae-rim meeting Tee Rab's girlfriend and asking about him. The girlfriend told Chae-rim that before the accident, Ho-yeong met Tee Rab and gave him five million won, after asking him for a favor. He asked the latter to stalk Sang-hyun and give Chae-rim his information.
Tee Rab gave him information about Sang-hyun getting a motorcycle as a gift on his birthday. He also said that Sang-hyun was bragging about his brother having killed a judge's wife. This triggered Ho-yeong, who asked Tee Rab and his girlfriend to surveil Sang-hyun on his birthday.
The two stalked him and told Ho-yeong about Sang-hyun going out on a ride on his new bike, which was when there was an accident. Tee Rab, who had watched the accident, decided to blackmail Ho-yeong for more money, which led to his death
Tee Rab's girlfriend also told Chae-rim that Ho-yeong told her that he would avenge her boyfriend's death even though he didn't know who the killer was.
The episode of Your Honor then saw Chae-rim sharing all this information with Pan-ho, stating that there was evidence for all of it. Pan-ho calls Park Chang-hyuk and tells him that Chae-rim is blackmailing him with Ho-yeong's actions to convict Sang-hyuk and find him guilty.
The episode of Your Honor then cuts to Ho-young studying as Pan-ho goes home. While he wants to ask Ho-yeong about what Chae-rim told him, he doesn't ask and continues with his activities.
Kang-heon and his family eat breakfast together while Eun is happily messaging through her phone. Mi-jeon asks for forgiveness for the suffering she caused to Eun and Kang-heon. She cites her emotional distress over Sang-hyun's death as the reason behind what she did.
Kang-heon meets Sang-hyuk to ask him about Pan-ho's wife's death. While Sang-hyuk isn't able to remember, he claims that it's the blood inside him that commands him to do those things. He claims that it whispers to him to become unapproachable and the powerful king of the world.
Kang-heon tells him that the only reason Sang-hyuk is alive is because of his blood and lineage. He tells the latter that he will not be found guilty and after the case is done, Sang-hyuk has to leave for the US immediately. Sang-hyuk asks to have dinner with the family once, but Kang-heon doesn't reply.
Kang-heon holds a press conference and takes responsibility for all of the crimes, including collusion, violence, and bribery, as a representative of the Woo One group.
In the following scene of Your Honor's episode, Ho-yeong is researching the eldest child of Woo One. He meets the people of the Boodu gang and gives them bottles of alcohol before asking them for a favor.
Jo Min-yeon and her partner visit Tee Rab's girlfriend and ask her what she has told Chae-rim.
The episode of Your Honor then shows Pan-ho on his way to work. He wonders if things would have turned out as complex had Ho-yeong surrendered to the police that day. He wonders if he could have taken care of it on his own.
At the time, Jo Min-yeon calls Pan-ho and asks why he won't help her live. Pan-ho tells her that it was her own doing and Song-Taek's failure to discard that car. She reminds him about Ho-yeong's intentional accident with Sang-hyun's car.
Jo Min-yeon then tells him that if Pan-ho wants to thrive as a politician, he should do better. She tells him that Ho-yeong met with members of her gang looking for a gun the previous night and wonders why he would do that. Jo Mi-yeon tells Pan-ho that she hasn't given him the gun yet, but her mind can change seeing Pan-ho's actions.
Pan-ho asks Blue House's Chief Secretary, Kang Moon-seok, to meet him, claiming that he would do anything for them. He gets rid of Kang-heon's man by complaining to the security of his office. Pan-ho goes to meet Moon-seok and says that he had a method to bring down the Woo One group. However, in exchange, he wants to enter the Blue House as soon as he is done with charging Sang-hyuk guilty.
Pan-ho then goes to meet Prosecutor Kang and tells her that he wants to give Sang-hyuk a guilty verdict. However, he tells her that he is facing pressure from Woo One to give Sang-hyuk a non-guilty verdict and that the witness of the case has been bought. He says that at this rate, they might not be able to prove him guilty.
He politely asks her to hand over all the evidence of Sang-hyuk's and Woo One's crimes to him. He wants to submit those to the Blue House for investigation and prove Sang-hyuk's guilt.
Prosecutor Kang brings out the evidence files, but before she gives those to Pan-ho, she tells him that Detective Jung cannot contact her after she has met Pan-ho. She asks him what they talked about and Pan-ho replies that Chae-rim has blackmailed him about the case with Ho-yeong being the murderer of the hit-and-run case. However, he calls it nonsense and says that it made him mad and that he left immediately.
Prosecutor Kang then tells him that she has evidence of the accident being intentional and of Ho-yeong being the culprit. She asks him to manage the verdict.
Pan-ho goes to meet the representative of Blue House. However, instead of Chief Secretary Kang Moon-seok, someone else shows up and tells Pan-ho that Moon-seok has sent him. Pan-ho initially doesn't believe him and refuses to give the evidence to him, but just as the man is about to leave he gives him the file, claiming that a life is at stake.
After going home, in this episode of Your Honor, Pan-ho tells Ho-yeong that he is going to give Sang-hyuk a guilty verdict and asks him not to do anything. Moon-seok calls Pan-ho and tells him that the evidence he has sent is good but not good enough. Moon-seok asks Pan-ho to send the file of Mi-jeong's arson, which will make the case against Woo One even stronger.
Pan-ho agrees, and in exchange, he asks for words before the final trial of Sang-hyuk beings and he declares him guilty.
Later in the evening of that episode of Your Honor, Pan-ho contacts Jo Min-yeon using a disposable phone and requests a meeting. He informs her that he needs two pieces of things: evidence of Mi-jeong's involvement in the arson, and the presence of a Kang-heon's operative surveilling him.
Soon, in Your Honor, the goons of Jo Min-yeon come and beat the Kang-heon's man. During that scuffle, Pan-ho escapes and gets into a cab.
The episode of Your Honor sees Jo Min-yeon give him the file of evidence against Mi-jeong. As Pan-ho says thanks, she reminds him that he needs to do more than say thanks just with words, as she has more critical evidence against him than Kang-heon.
However, as Pan-ho and Jo Mi-yeon are returning from their meeting, Kang-heon's men stop them in their way. Seeing Park Chang-hyuk, Pan-ho asks if he knows what he is doing. Park Chang-hyuk tells him that they are the ones who have sent the photos of him kneeling in front of Kang-heon to the Blue House, so they know everything.
Kang-heon arrives shortly and sees the pictorial evidence Pan-ho has, and asks him what he can do to end everything. Kang-heon asks him in reply if Pan-ho thinks that everything came down to this situation because of him.
Subsequently, the episode of Your Honor sees Pan-ho kneel before Kang-heon and discloses that Ho-yeong intended to confess. However, upon discovering that the boy was Kang-heon's son, Pan-ho hid him. He acknowledges his manipulation of evidence.
He tells him more, that if Kang-heon promises to spare Ho-yeong, Pan-ho is going to throw away every piece of evidence against him. Pan-ho says he has nothing to do other than trust Kang-heon. He asks for forgiveness, telling him that because Kang-heon has children, he can understand him too.
The ninth episode of Your Honor sees Pan-ho attend a court proceeding, while Ho-yeong visits a beach. Meanwhile, Kang-heon's men abduct Jo Min-yeon and confine her in a cement-filled bucket, tying her hands.
The trial commences with the prosecutor outlining the criminal charges when Kang-heon enters the courtroom. The prosecutor seeks the maximum penalty, presenting a compelling case. However, Pan-ho appears lost in contemplation.
The court proceedings unfold in Your Honor as Sang-hyuk's defense presents its arguments. Amidst these proceedings, Ho-yeong enters the courtroom and takes a seat, unnoticed by his father.
After hearing both parties, Judge Song Pan-ho proceeds to deliver his verdict. He finds Sang-hyuk not guilty due to insufficient evidence. The verdict surprises Prosecutor Kang and Ho-yeong.
Prosecutor Kang is upset and frustrated upon hearing the verdict. She receives news of Chae-rim's demise and seeks out Pan-ho to inform him of this development. However, his indifferent reaction to the news shocks the Your Honor character even further. She directly inquires if he is already aware of this situation, but he remains silent and leaves.
As he goes into his office, Pan-ho is overcome with emotion and begins to cry uncontrollably.
As Sang-hyuk steps out of the courtroom, he expresses his gratitude to his lawyers and Pan-ho. He acknowledges that their fair judgment helped him get a fair trial, ultimately proving that he was not guilty.
Ho-yeong observes all of this from a distance when a strange man approaches him and hands him a gun. The man says that Ho-yeong's desire for revenge has resulted in the loss of numerous lives and requests him to put an end to this cycle of violence. At this critical juncture, Ho-yeong receives a phone call from Eun, who invites him to join her family for dinner, including her eldest brother.
In the final scene of Your Honor, Kang-heon receives a video of Jo Min-yeon before being completely drowned inside the cement. She states that the accident was intentional and continues to say that Ho-yeong will not stop. She asks Kang-heon to imagine how far Ho-yeong must have planned and how far he can go.
