Your Honor final episode: Song Ho-yeong's pursuit of retribution culminates with the ultimate cost of his own life

The final episode of the drama Your Honor begins with, detective Chae-rim's car being retrieved from a river with her dead body in it. Prosecutor Kang gives the news of Chae-rim's unfortunate demise to Pan-ho, who doesn't say anything to her but breaks down crying after returning to his office.

Meanwhile, Ho-yeong goes to a public restroom and straps the gun (that he got from the strange man) to his leg with tape. He remembers how he cried in happiness after crashing his car with Sang-hyun's bike. He also remembers the smiling face of Sang-hyun's elder brother, Sang-hyuk, after hearing the verdict that the latter is non-guilty.

The aftermath of the verdict shows Your Honor's characters in various ways. Park Chang-hyuk tells Kang-heon about Tee Rab's girlfriend telling about Ho-yeong's planned murder of his son. On the other hand, Yi-hwa listening to the news of the verdict wonders if they can ever be able to get out of Kang-heon's grasp and Lee Cheong-gang gets ready to leave the country.

Later in that day in Your Honor, Ho-yeong goes to Kang-heon's house with Eun. His father keeps calling him, which he declines. Eun innocently shows Ho-yeong her house, unaware of Kang-heon's eyes on them. He learns from Park Chang-hyuk about Ho-yeong's plan and how the latter killed his son Sang-hyun.

Kang-heon then calls Pan-ho and tells him about Ho-yeong being in his house. He questions Pan-ho if Ho-yeong plans to do anything to Eun. He continues telling him that he wants to move on from the entire incident but that seems impossible now. Pan-ho begs him not to do anything to Ho-yeong and rushes to Kang-heon's house.

Mi-jeong sees Ho-yeong sitting in the garden where Eun left him and thanks him for taking care of Eun. Pan-ho keeps calling him but Ho-yeong declines all of those.

Meanwhile, in the final episode of Your Honor, Sang-hyuk arrives at the house. He approaches him and keeps asking questions when Ho-yeong doesn't answer him. He asks Ho-yeong if he has seen him somewhere. Ho-yeong freezes looking at him and can't answer until Eun comes and introduces him to Sang-hyuk.

Rushing to Kang-hoon's house Pan-ho calls Kang-heon and at first, threatens him but then apologizes and asks for forgiveness and Ho-yeong's life. However, Kang-heon refuses to listen to him and says he will be the judge of that decision.

In the following scene of Your Honor, they are called for dinner. Ho-young puts the gun on his back moving it from his leg. Kang-heon, Sang-hyuk, Mi-jeong and Eun sit for dinner with Ho-yeong. Sang-hyuk however doesn't like Ho-yeong and starts grilling him. He asks why Ho-yeong likes Eun and Ho-yeong replies that Eun is the kindest person he has met in his entire life.

During this conversation in Your Honor, prosecutor Kang calls Mi-jeong. After declining the calls a few times, she leaves to answer it. Kang tells her about Sang-hyuk's connection with Ho-yeong. She tells her about Sang-hyuk's assaulting his mother which he took revenge by killing Sang-hyun and now involving Eun.

Back at the dinner table, Sang-hyuk again asks Ho-yeong if he has ever met him. This time, Ho-yeong says he met him infront of the police station when he was leaving after the interrogation on a s*xual assault case. Saying this, Ho-yeong gets a panic attack and uses his nebulizer.

After calming down, Ho-yeong continues telling how the case got dismissed without any charges which led to his mother, the victim, Jo Eun-hye, committing suicide. Kang-heon asks him to stop but Ho-yeong stands up claiming that they do not think how other people's lives get affected by their actions.

Upon hearing this, Sang-hyuk interjects, stating that he does not recall an individual named Jo Eun-hye and inquires about their identity. Ho-yeong, upon hearing Sang-hyuk's response, becomes visibly agitated and cannot believe him. Consequently, Ho-yeong pulls out his gun and directs it towards Sang-hyuk.

Kang-heon tries to disarm him, saying Pan-ho is on the way and asks Eun to go into her room. However, Ho-yeong doesn't hear him. He says his mother was a valuable human being if human life can be valued and killing Sang-hyuk's entire family won't be enough to compensate for that.

Eun crying out, tries taking the gun from Ho-yeong's hand. But Ho-yeong is still in his commitment. He asks for forgiveness and pushes her away. He aims the gun back again at Sang-hyuk and pulls the trigger.

Pan-ho arrives outside the house in Your Honor, but the guard politely informs him that he cannot enter. While trying to convince them, he hears the gunshot. He pushes the guards and rushes inside the house.

However, two gunshots are fired. One is from Ho-yeong, which hits Sang-hyuk's back. The other one is from Mi-jeong who comes into the room and fires at Ho-yeong, hitting his stomach. Shocked Ho-yeong tries to balance himself and aims at Sang-hyuk again but Mi-jeong fires at him twice, hitting him in his chest and ultimately making him fall down on the floor.

Kang-heon tries to calm down overwhelmed Mi-jeong, who keeps saying that Sang-hyuk is innocent. Kang-heon takes the gun away from her hand and hands it to Park Chang-hyuk. Kang-heon's men come and take Sang-hyuk out of the room.

In the following scene of Your Honor, Eun finally can stand up and sees Ho-yeong lying on the floor bloodied and shot. Screaming and crying she goes to him. Ho-yeong says sorry to her but Eun won't stop crying. Suddenly Kang-heon comes and picks her up, forcefully dragging her out of the room as she wails taking Ho-yeong's name.

After they are out of the room leaving only Park Chang-hyuk standing there with the gun, Pan-ho rushes inside. He sees his son's body and can not believe it. He asks him to stand up and go with him. He tries to wipe his blood with his shirt. Soon the police and paramedical team come and take Ho-yeong's body out.

The doctor declares that Ho-yeong died before he was taken in the ambulance. Pan-ho still can not believe it and keeps asking him to go with him. Park Chang-hyuk is interrogated by the police and falsely confesses to killing Ho-yeong taking the blame for Mi-jeong's crime. He says that Ho-yeong aimed a gun at Kang-heon's family and as a security, he did his job by shooting him in defence.

Kang-heon consoles Mi-jeong who is crying thinking if other people in her situation would have done the same thing. Kang-heon says to her that if she didn't do it he would have. Eun is upset and does not understand why Ho-yeong did what he did. Hearing the news of his death she collapses.

At Ho-yeong's funeral in this episode of Your Honor, prosecutor Kang comes and informs Pan-ho about the details of Ho-yeong's death. Pan-ho says nothing that matters anymore like who has killed him or why. All he wanted to do was protect Ho-yeong but failed at that and Ho-yeong, his precious child is dead. He cries out which makes prosecutor Kang sob as well.

When Eun gets consciousness, Kang-hoon hugging her tells her that after she is fully recovered, their whole family is going to go on a trip and stay there until they forget about everything. In the following scene of Your Honor, the police interrogate Kang-heon and his family.

On the other hand, Pan-ho goes to the beach to pour Ho-yeong's ashes into the sea. Eun comes to him and asks why isn't Pan-ho putting Ho-yeong in an ossuary. Pan-ho tells her that Ho-yeong was in too much pain so now he wants Ho-yeong to rest in peace away from everything.

After that in Your Honor, Pan-ho gets interrogated by the police and he confesses everything he has done. In this confession, Pan-ho and Kang-heon's inner monologues get mixed. They both have committed crimes which turn out to be for nothing. Now the consequences for those crimes seem to inevitably come back at them. They both believe punishments are going to come in any shape or form.

Prosecutor Kang, however, doesn't believe Pan-ho's demand for punishment. She says Kim Kang-heon deserves that more. She asks Pan-ho to bury his crime in his heart until Kim Kang-heon is caught.

Through the glass of the interrogation room, Blue House's Chief Secretary Kang Moon-seok and Assemblyman Yi-hwa look at Pan-ho. They wonder if they can trust Pan-ho in their desire to bring Kang-heon's destruction. They believe the past incidents have destroyed Pan-ho's want of justice and vengeance. Moon-seok asks Yi-hwa and Prosecutor Kang to get Pan-ho ready for their mission before he leaves.

Later in this final episode of Your Honor, one night Kang-heon and Mi-jeong bid Eun good night. After they are gone, she gets up and consumes all the medicines that are prescribed to her altogether in order to commit suicide.

Ad

She collapses after taking that amount of medication and is moved to the hospital. The doctor says that due to serious damage to the cranial nerve, her physical functionality can never be guaranteed and that she has no possibility of full recovery.

At the penultimate scene of Your Honor, Sang-hyuk is leaving the country. Kang meets him at the airport. She tells him not to be at peace going back to the United States as he now needs to protect the entire Woo One group, including his father Kang-heon.

Sang-hyuk doubts a prosecutor by law can do anything to his father to this Kang replies by saying she doesn't believe in the power of law anymore and will fight from now on using something above the law.

Pan-ho replies that he doesn't wish to get revenge but repentance. He wants both of them to get repentance for every wrong both of them have done

Meanwhile, Kang-heon says that he thought he was someone who could judge and control the terrible situation they were in. He was arrogant and did what he did. Possibilities of Season 2 (speculative)
