Actresses Lacey Chabert and Robinson Peete were named in a new age discrimination lawsuit against Hallmark. It was filed by Penny Perry, the 79-year-old casting director, who was allegedly fired from Hallmark "unceremoniously" in April 2024 after nine years of working for the company.
As per Variety, Perry's lawsuit was against Lisa Hamilton Daly, the executive VP of programming at the company, who claimed that Daly allegedly told her staff not to cast "old people" as they didn't fit with her image for the channel.
Perry's lawsuit also alleged that Daly singled out Chabert, making specific comments about her:
"Lacey’s getting older and we have to find someone like her to replace her as she gets older."
While Daly hasn't commented on the lawsuit yet, here's a look at 10 of Lacey Chabert's best Hallmark movies over the years.
