Ryan Reynolds returns as the wise-cracking Wade Wilson aka Deadpool who has to recruit a disinterested Wolverine, portrayed by Hugh Jackman, for a high-stakes mission to save his world.
Fans had doubts about whether this mashup will work but Reynolds and Jackman carried the narrative without a hitch. Deadpool and Wolverine's clashing personalities and bickering banter set the stage for numerous hilarious moments that made the audience laugh out loud.
Ardent fans are sure to welcome the OTT platform release of Deadpool & Wolverine with open arms as it will give them a reason to rewatch their favorite scenes. It will also make it convenient for viewers who weren't able to see it on the big screen.
Where to watch: Marvel aficionados will be able to stream Deadpool & Wolverine on Disney+ from November 12.
2) Emilia Pérez (November 13)
OTT platforms tend to have diverse collections, which include musicals. This week, music lovers will be able to indulge in Jacques Audiard's latest musical which combines elements of crime and comedy.
Zoe Saldaña, widely known for her role in Avatar, plays Rita Mora Castro who is a skilled lawyer. She receives a lucrative deal from a feared cartel leader, Juan “Manitas” Del Monte, portrayed by Karla Sofía Gascón, who wants to fulfill a long-held dream of transitioning into a woman. The movie also stars Selena Gomez, Adriana Paz, Mark Ivanir, and Édgar Ramírez.
This emotional movie, released theatrically in August 2024, will particularly appeal to viewers who enjoy inclusive stories. In addition to self-acceptance and familial love, the narrative also explores corruption, politics, social issues and more.
Where to watch: Emilia Pérez will be available on Netflix from November 13 onwards.
3) Hot Frosty (November 13)
Before the onset of OTT platforms, most cinephiles would get their holiday movie fix from Hallmark channels that are known for their feel-good movies. But nowadays, OTT platforms also offer a variety of Christmas-themed movies that feature likable characters and heartfelt narratives that celebrate everything good about the festive season.
This week, one such movie that will witness an OTT platform release is Hot Frosty, starring Lacey Chabert and Dustin Milligan. Chabert plays Kathy who lost her husband two years ago. Her actions magically bring a snowman to life who helps her feel whole again.
From the trailer, it looks like Hot Frosty will present a heartfelt story full of witty dialogue, romantic moments and charming characters. Romance movie fans, in particular, should mark their calendars for this one.
Where to watch: Viewers will be able to stream Hot Frosty on Netflix from November 13.

This engaging movie by Josh Margolin was released theatrically in June of this year. Marking June Squibb's first leading role, it focuses on Thelma Post, a 93-year-old who gets scammed. When the police refuse to take her case seriously, she makes up her mind to catch the perpetrators herself, disregarding her family's reservations about the same.
An industry veteran, Squibb has always been known for her versatility and she beautifully personifies the relentless spirit of Thelma who finds a way to overcome any and all hardships that come her way.
The OTT platform release of Thelma will particularly appeal to viewers who like to binge-watch comedy movies. Movie-goers have praised the film for its wholesome humor that favors intelligent dialogue and spunky characters over clichéd jokes and time-worn puns.

5) Twisters (November 15)
Many OTT platform subscribers like to indulge in movies with high-stakes narratives that keep them on the edge of their seats. Disaster movies, in particular, tend to have that effect. One highly anticipated disaster movie, which was released theatrically earlier this year, will witness an OTT platform release this week.
Starring Daisy Edgar-Jones, Glen Powell, Anthony Ramos and others, Twisters by Lee Isaac Chung made a lot of buzz for its striking special effects and impressive cinematography. A standalone sequel to Twister (1996), this movie focuses on two groups of storm chasers who are investigating a tornado outbreak in Oklahoma.
In terms of storytelling, it does suffer from some clichés of the genre but is still able to distinguish itself with the help of compelling performances, action-packed scenes and witty dialogue.
Where to watch: Cinephiles will be able to stream Twisters on Peacock from November 15 onwards.
No matter which OTT platform filmaholics prefer, they are sure to find at least one new movie to watch this week that will keep them entertained from start to finish.
