Marvel fans will always remember the moment when the retired Steve Rogers hands the shield over to Sam Wilson, played by Anthony Mackie, at the end of Avengers: Endgame. This iconic scene heralded the birth of a new Captain America and fans got to see Wilson in his new avatar in the miniseries, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
However, Captain America: Brave New World by Julius Onah will mark Mackie's first big-screen outing in the red, white, and blue suit. The actor has received much praise for maintaining the humble and righteous persona of Captain America, while also adding his own brand of humor and cheekiness to the mix.
In this upcoming movie, Sam Wilson has to dig deep in order to find the true culprits behind an international incident and stop a global ploy that threatens millions of lives. Fans are interested to see how Wilson embraces his new title and whether he will be able to match Chris Evans' legacy.
Where to watch: This upcoming movie will be released in the theatres on February 14, 2025.
2) Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy (February 2025)
Even since the release of the first installment in the Bridget Jones film series, the audience has become invested in the story of Renée Zellweger's Bridget. As a protagonist, Bridget is as flawed as they come but that is what makes her relatable and realistic.
This upcoming movie by Michael Morris is the fourth installment in the series and witnesses the return of Hugh Grant as Daniel Cleaver, Colin Firth as Mark Darcy, and Emma Thompson as Doctor Rawlings. The story centers around Bridget who is raising two children all on her own after Mark was killed on a mission. Her friends and family help her get her life back together and find love once again.

5) The Princess Diaries 3 (TBA)

Fans of The Princess Diaries and its sequel The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement (2004) were understandably elated when news came in about a third movie in the works. Adele Lim, who wrote the screenplay for Crazy Rich Asians (2018), has taken charge as the director. It has also been confirmed that Hathaway will be reprising her role.
According to reports, Flora Greeson is writing the script for the upcoming movie. So far, it is unclear whether it will follow a story from one of Meg Cabot's works because, unlike The Princess Diaries, The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement was not based on any existing book. Fans are hoping to see a more mature version of Mia's life as a royal but only time will tell which direction it will take.
