Jessica Alba’s return to the big screen happened via the action-thriller Trigger Warning. The movie, released on June 21, stars Alba as Parker, a special forces commando haunted by her traumatic past.

The movie delves into how Parker finds herself dealing with violent gangs after she takes over the bar owned previously by her deceased father. Starring alongside Anthony Michael Hall, the movie was described by Netflix as a cross between John Wick and First Blood. It presents a compelling narrative that sees Alba’s character move past her past trauma to fight criminals once again.

When So-mi is kidnapped by gangsters, Cha Tae-sik, played by Won Bin, embarks on a dangerous mission to save her. He is drawn into his former world of crime, with the narrative itself featuring similarities with Trigger Warning.
