Written and directed by Steve McQueen, Blitz, is a historical war drama, starring Saoirse Ronan, Paul Weller, Stephen Graham, and more. The movie is about a young boy, who is evacuated from London during the Blitz, but he decides to return to his mother and faces numerous adventures.

The movie has received positive reviews from critics for its performances and story and features themes of war, survival, and the bond between a mother and her children. The movie began streaming on the Apple platform on November 22, 2024.


2) Wolfs

Starring George Clooney, Brad Pitt, and others, Wolfs is an action comedy, written and directed by Jon Watts. The movie is about two fixers, who prefer to work alone, but are forced to work together on a project, which causes various problems.

The movie began streaming on the platform on September 27, 2024, and quickly became the most streamed movie there. The movie received mixed reviews but critics and audiences enjoyed the banter between the two mega stars in the movie.


3) Killers of the Flower Moon

Starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro, Killers of the Flower Moon, is a Western epic crime drama directed by Martin Scorsese. Based on a book by David Grann, the movie is set in 1920s Oklahoma and revolves around Mollie, a member of the Osage Nation, who investigates a string of murders in her clan.

The movie also deals with the aftermath of discovering oil on the land, as even though the tribals had mineral rights, a corrupt local politician decides to steal their wealth. The movie received widespread acclaim for its direction and performances and was released on the platform on January 12, 2024.


4) Fly Me to the Moon

Directed by Greg Berlanti, Fly Me to the Moon, is a romantic comedy-drama starring Scarlett Johansson and Channing Tatum. The movie is set during the space-race era of the 1960s and is about a marketing specialist (Scarlett) and a NASA launch director (Channing), who have to create a fake moon landing, in case the actual Apollo 11 mission fails.

The movie received mixed reviews, with praise for the performances, but criticism for the uneven blend of romance and history. It was released on the platform on December 6, 2024, and is a light and fun watch, nonetheless.


5) Swan Song

Starring Mahershala Ali, Swan Song, is a sci-fi romance drama directed by Benjamin Cleary. The movie is about a father and husband, Cameron (Ali), who gets diagnosed with a terminal illness and must choose between dying and causing grief to his family or replacing himself with a clone.

The movie has themes about the use of technology in modern life and the limits to which a person will go to protect his family. Critics gave a positive response to the film and appreciated Ali’s performance. The movie began streaming on the Apple platform on December 17, 2021.


6) Ghosted

Directed by Dexter Fletcher and starring Chris Evans, Ana de Armas, and others, Ghosted, is a romantic action comedy about Cole (Evans) and Sadie (Ana). While Cole falls for Sadie after a brief encounter and follows her to London, he also gets captured by arms dealers and realizes that Sadie is actually a secret agent.

The two get caught in an international adventure and start to develop feelings. Even though the movie did not receive favorable reviews from the critics, it was the most-watched movie debut on the Apple platform when it was released on April 21, 2023.


7) Greyhound

Starring Tom Hanks, Stephen Graham, and others, Greyhound is a war film directed by Aaron Schneider and is based on a novel by C.S. Forester. The movie revolves around a US Navy commander, who is on his first assignment and commanding a multi-national escort destroyer group, that has to defend an Allied convoy from U-boats.

Set amidst the Battle of the Atlantic, the movie did well upon release and received praise for its tense and fast-paced action and performances. The movie was released on the platform on July 10, 2020 and garnered a significant audience.
