The movie centers on Avery (Lindsay Lohan), who is spending her first Christmas with her boyfriend's family when she finds out her ex is also celebrating and chooses to keep their past relationship a secret.

Childhood friends turned lovers, Avery and Logan, reconnect at Christmas 10 years after their breakup, now entangled with siblings Cameron and Cassie Morgan. To avoid conflict with their domineering mother-in-law, Erica, they hide their past relationship.

However, old feelings resurface as family secrets, lies, and awkward situations unfold, forcing Avery and Logan to confront their shared history and uncertain future amidst growing family tensions.

In his directorial debut, Sergio Pablos wrote and directed the 2019 animated Christmas adventure comedy movie Klaus.

Set in a fictional 19th-century setting, this alternative origin story for Santa Claus follows Jesper Johansen, a spoiled postman sent to the remote town of Smeerensburg in Norway to establish a post office or lose his inheritance. The town is divided by two feuding families, and no one sends letters. Jesper befriends Klaus, a reclusive toymaker, sparking a heartwarming tale of generosity and reconciliation.

In desperation, Jesper finds Klaus, who crafts toys. Jesper and Klaus work together to covertly give gifts, igniting goodwill and putting an end to the town's long-standing conflict. Jesper must, however, face his past deeds and determine if he will remain in Smeerensburg permanently after his true motivations are exposed.

Brian Cox, Fiona Shaw, Jodie Whittaker, and Bill Nighy are among the voice actors.

Dating columnist Natalie Bauer, tired of bad dates, connects deeply with Josh Lin on a dating app. Excited, she surprises him at his hometown for Christmas but discovers she’s been catfished—Josh used another man's photos. Frustrated, she agrees to pose as his girlfriend for the holidays.

Amid family dynamics and Josh’s pressures, Natalie develops feelings for Tag, Josh’s childhood friend, while also learning about Josh and herself. Through the holiday chaos, she reevaluates what she truly wants in love and life.

6) A Boy Called Christmas (2021)

Based on Matt Haig's 2015 book of the same name, Gil Kenan directed the Christmas fantasy A Boy Called Christmas. It narrates the tale of a kid who, accompanied by the mouse he trained to speak, journeys to a country of elves.

On Christmas Eve, three siblings are left with their Aunt Ruth, who keeps them entertained by telling a story about Nikolas, a boy living in the wilderness with his father. After his mother’s death, Nikolas embarks on a journey to find Elfhelm, a mythical place, to bring hope to his father and the kingdom.

Along the way, Nikolas befriends a reindeer named Blitzen and a talking mouse, Miika. He eventually reaches Elfhelm and uncovers a conflict between humans and Elves. With the help of the fairy Truth Pixie and the Elves, Nikolas must save his father, stop hunters, and restore Christmas spirit to the land.

7) The Princess Switch (2018)

The movie's idea of two identical people switching places is inspired by Mark Twain's 1881 story, The Prince and the Pauper.

Reluctantly, Stacy's best friend and assistant, Kevin, enters her in a prestigious baking competition in the Kingdom of Belgravia. She meets Brianna, her opponent, there, when she unexpectedly runs into Lady Margaret Delacourt, Duchess of Montenaro, who reveals they are identical in appearance.

Margaret suggests that they trade places for two days in order to get away from the spotlight, and Stacy accepts—especially after Margaret says she will pay for Kevin's daughter Olivia to attend ballet class. While Margaret is lured to Kevin's charm, Stacy starts to fall for Prince Edward as they become enmeshed in each other's worlds.

This movie is the first in The Princess Switch trilogy. The second movie, The Princess Switch: Switched Again, was released in November 2020, followed by the third, The Princess Switch 3: Romancing the Star in 2021.
