A Costa Rican Wedding is a romantic comedy film written by Juliana Wimbles and directed by Colin Theys. The film will premiere on Hallmark Channel on August 17, 2024.
The film is about Emily, who's gifted at losing things, be it keys or machines. She's the maid of honor at her friend's wedding in Costa Rica but loses the wedding rings. She gets help from her nemesis Ryan, and goes through the tropics to retrieve what's lost, finding more than what she was seeking.
A Costa Rican Wedding stars Rhiannon Fish and Christopher Russell in the leading roles as Emily and Ryan. Other prominent actors in supporting roles are Cj Hammond, Kourtney George and Maureen Kedes.

1) Rhiannon Fish as Emily
Rhiannon Fish plays Emily, who's notorious for losing things. From house keys to class pets, she has lost everything.
So when she got the responsibility to safely deliver the wedding rings to her best friend's wedding, things were bound to go south. Her mishap ends in an adventure where she finds exactly what she seeks.
Fish has been working since 11 when she appeared in Neighbours as Lisa. Since then, she has been a part of projects like As the Bell Rings, Home and Away, The 100, Journey of My Heart, etc.
2) Christopher Russell as Ryan
Christopher Russell plays Ryan, a hunky guy who has been around Emily for a long time but for some unknown reason, she has always disliked him. However, hewants to get a soft spot in her heart and finds a perfect opportunity for that when Emily loses the wedding rings.
Russell is a long-time collaborator with Hallmark Channel, first appearing as the lead in Midnight Masquerade. He has appeared in 15 romantic comedy projects on the network.
He has also been a part of projects like Star Trek: Discovery, Van Helsing and Day of the Dead and Flashpoint.
3) Cj Hammond as Jamal
Cj Hammond plays Jamal, who's getting married to Phoebe. He isn't very trusting of Emily with the rings, as she has lost his house keys six times. Hammond is predominantly a musician and attributes his love for music to his father.
Before landing the role on A Costa Rican Wedding, he collaborated with artists like Mark Rodriguez, Nick Rosen, Arif Elahi, Andrew Joslyn, Steven Felix, etc, and created several popular songs.

Maureen Kedes is an actor, writer and producer, who plays Phoebe's mother Sue in A Costa Rican Wedding. She's from Chicago, and even she doesn't trust Emily with the wedding rings and doesn't hesitate to say it out loud.
Kedes started acting from an early age and worked in films, television and theatre. She was also a professional script reader and cabaret singer, but she took a 22-year gap from acting to raise her children.
She got back into show business in 2019, and since then, has worked on numerous projects including The Greatest of All Time, The Green Couch and Dressed for Love.
