Aaron Schimberg's A Different Man, featuring Marvel star Sebastian Stan, is out now in movie theaters and will soon be available for streaming at home. The psychological thriller drops on Amazon Prime Video and Apple TV+ on November 5, 2024, a month after A24 released the film in cinemas early in October.

Exploring identity and societal bias, A Different Man is a dark comedy thriller about an aspiring actor who goes under the knife to radically change his appearance. However, his new dream face isn't what it's cracked up to be. His facial transformation turns into a nightmare, and he becomes obsessed with reclaiming what he lost.

Schimberg, whose credits include Chained for Life and Go Down Death, also wrote the screenplay for A Different Man, which now has a 92% score on Rotten Tomatoes. The film also features Chained for Life star Adam Pearson, Renate Reinsve, Miles G. Jackson, and more.

The Romanian-American actor is best known as Bucky Barnes, aka the Winter Soldier, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He stars in A Different Man as Edward, an aspiring actor who undergoes reconstructive surgery to make himself more marketable in the movies. But he loses a coveted role anyway, turning him into a dark path.

Outside of the MCU, Sebastian Stan has worked on dozens of projects for television and the big screen. Some of his best works are Logan Lucky, The Martian, and I, Tonya. He also won the Best Leading Performance for A Different Man at the 2024 Berlin Film Festival.

He's an actor playing Edward in a theater production based on Edward's life. He soon becomes Edward's new obsession because he looks exactly like Edward did before he went under the knife.

Pearson played Rosenthal in the 100% Rotten Tomato scorer Chained for Life and also appeared in DRIB as himself. He also worked on television as a guest on Celebrity Antiques Road Trip and was a contestant on Celebrity Mastermind.

3) Renate Reinsve as Ingrid

The Norwegian actress, who stars as Carolyn Polhemus in Presumed Innocent, joins the cast of A Different Man as Ingrid. She's a wannabe playwright who became Edward's neighbor and friend. She wrote the play about Edward's life, and they were together romantically before Edward's spiral.

Reinsve has worked on dozens of projects both on television and the big screen and in both English and Norwegian titles. Some of her best works are Women in Oversized Men's Shirts, Roeng, The Worst Person in the World, and Welcome to Norway.
