Absolution is an American action thriller movie directed by Hans Petter Molan. With distribution by Samuel Goldwyn Films, the movie went on to make its theatrical release on November 1, 2024.
Written by Tony Gayton, the story of Absolution revolves around the life of a known gangster who considers leaving his past career and starting a new life. But soon he realizes that the world of crime is not ready to leave him yet, and he goes on a mission to solve his past knots.

Liam Neeson in Absolution plays the role of an unnamed Thug, an ex-boxer who had spent his life connected to the gangster underworld. He has a history of partnerships working with Boston's local mafia, Charlie Connor, and now works as an enlister for new gang members. With his growing age and physical restrictions, he faces difficulty in completing his jobs with the same precision he used to have before.
After suffering from severe mental lapses, when he appoints a doctor, he is informed that he has Chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE), and can only stay by himself for two years at the very most. Absolution becomes a journey of its titular character, to reconcile with his estranged kids, after years and pass on his biggest life lesson to his grandson.
Liam Neeson is an Irish actor who came into The Irish Times list of the 50 Greatest Film Actors. He received an academy nomination and rose to worldwide prominence after playing the character of Oskar Schindler in Steven Spielberg's cult classic Schindler's List (1993). 2) Ron Perlman as Charlie Connor
Ron Perlman takes up the role of a local Boston gangster leader named Charlie Connor, who has been working in association with the Thug for many years. Charlie trusts him for his utmost accuracy in getting the job done. Hence, Charlie leaves his son, Kyle, under his jurisdiction to prepare him with the best skills needed to survive in the underworld.
Perlman is an American actor who is best known for playing the titular character of Hellboy in Hellboy (2004), and Hellboy II: The Golden Army (2008). He is also known for two major television series, Beauty and the Beast (1987), and Hand of God (2014).
3) Daniel Diemer as Kyle Conner
Daniel Diemer plays the role of Charlie Connor's son in Jurisdiction. Kyle strongly wants to outperform his father and take over his gangster empire. But despite his ambitions and legacy, he is skillfully inept in making correct decisions at the right time.
A Canadian actor, Daniel Diemer, received major appreciation for playing the character of Paul Munsky in Netflix's coming-of-age comedy The Half of It (2020). Diemer has also made small appearances across television series, including The Man in the High Castle (2019), Black Summer (2021), The Midnight Club (2022), and Under the Bridge (2024).
4) Yolonda Ross as the Woman
Yolonda Ross plays the role of the character referred to as the Woman in the movie. Thug, while having a drink in the bar tries to stop a fight who had been vociferously fighting. He knocks out the woman's boyfriend when he detests to stay calm. Thug and the woman meet in an uncustomary situation but soon grow closer to each other.
Ross is an American actress and filmmaker, who received public appraisal for playing Treasure Lee in HBO's crime drama Stranger Inside (2001).
