What is Alien: Romulus about?
The film revolves around a group of space explorers investigating the USCSS Nostromo wreckage.
While investigating, they collect an organic object that contains Xenomorph. Meanwhile, in another scene Rain Carradine, an orphan lives in an isolated colony of Jackson's Star. She works alongside her adoptive brother, Andy, a reprogrammed synthetic human.
Rain's contract at the colony gets extended, and she's given a chance to escape with her ex-boyfriend Tyler and his group. The group includes Tyler's pregnant sister Kay, his cousin Bjorn and Bjorn's girlfriend Navarro. The group plans to retrieve cryonic stasis chambers from a derelict spacecraft to reach Planet Yvaga.

Andy has a unique ability that helps him interface with complex systems, making him crucial for the mission. Initially, Rain is hesitant to involve Andy in the mission but is persuaded by Andy and Tyler to let him join. The group boards the hauler Corbelan and heads to the spacecraft. They soon discover that it's a massive station divided into two sections, Romulus and Remus.
While collecting the stasis chambers, Tyler, Bjorn and Andy accidentally awaken dormant facehuggers, which triggers a nationwide lockdown. Rains is forced to insert a chip from a damaged android named Rook into Andy who is great at enhancing abilities but also compromising his loyalty by prioritizing Weyland-Yutani's interests.
As they begin to flee, a facehugger is attached to Navarro and despite attempts to save her, a chestburster emerges and kills her. The group attempts to escape, but the ship crashes. It jeopardizes the station's orbit and leaves it with less than an hour before collision.

As they navigate the station, Kay, one of the survivors is captured by Xenomorph. Meanwhile, Andy uncovers a Prometheus strain that's intended to perfect humans.
Rain and Tyler attempt to rescue Kay, but while doing so, Tyler gets killed and Andy is incapacitated. Key gets injured and injects herself with the strain during the escape. Rain disables the station's gravity to defeat the Xenomorphs and escapes with Andy just as the station crashes.
In the final scenes, Kay, who is now transformed by the strain, gives birth to a human Xenomorph hybrid, which Rain ejects into space. Rain places the injured Andy in stasis before entering herself and records a final log about their journey to Yvaga.
