After being intercepted by the Castevets, Terry is brought into their house at the end of the film. She is introduced as the future mother of the Devil and is applauded by everyone. Terry takes on the role and mingles with the crowd of Satanists. She starts to pose and dance, almost as though she is on stage, enjoying the adulation of the audience.

At the end of her dance, Terry hops upon the windowsill and gives Minnie a knowing look. Before anyone can react, Terry throws herself out the window and plummets to her death, unwilling to be used as a pawn.

Near the end of Apartment 7A, Terry is terrified about the fact that she is pregnant and believes something is wrong after the child starts causing her incredible pain and startling visions. She tries to get an abortion but fails after the doctor treating her gets paralyzed before even starting the process. At a church, Terry realizes that she is about to give birth to the Antichrist, a fact that is confirmed when she goes down to the basement of the Bramford building.

Terry kills Marchand at the basement altar and tries to escape the building but is intercepted by Minnie and Roman Castevet. They tell her to keep the baby and fulfill Satan's purpose on earth, saying that she is finally playing the most important role. At this, Terry relents and allows Roman and Minnie to come to her aid.

The couple introduces her to the neighbors, all of whom are members of the Satanist cult. They rejoice and call her the mother of Satan. Terry hugs Minnie and says that she realizes that she is finally playing a huge role, just like she dreamed. Terry begins to dance, much to the amusement of everyone in the room. A born performer, Terry prances around the room, engaging everyone with her performance.

At the end, she hops up on the windowsill and looks over at Minnie. Minnie's smile drops as she realizes what Terry has on her mind. But before anyone can move to stop her, Terry throws herself out of the open window onto a car underneath. The next shot of the ending reveals that she is dead in a pool of her own blood.

The ending signified that Terry finally found a way to escape and regain her agency, even if it was in death. In an ironic twist, Terry also got to be the true star of the stage and "perform" her last dance before choosing death.
