More about the musical score
There are a total of 15 songs used throughout the film. While the eponymous song by Inner Circle has come to become the theme song for the film franchise, Bad Boys: Ride or Die includes two interesting variations of the song.
The first variation of the theme song, by Sean Paul and Trueno, is used in the film's opening shots, with Trueno adding Spanish verses that enhance the scene. Additionally, country singer Reba McEntire performs a soulful country rendition of the theme song during a comedic moment where Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett escape from two armed rednecks.
The soundtrack features some credible hip-hop tracks with Run DMC's Peter Piper prominently featured during a climax sequence. Similarly, Spanish tracks like Dagombas en Tamale and Flores Pa Ti pay homage to the Latino influence in Miami.
One of the best soundtracks in the film is Lights Out by BIA and JID. JID and BIA are two of the most talented young rappers in the industry and they collaborated to create a bop-worthy original track for the end credits.
