Bagman (2024): Full list of cast in the movie

Bagman is a horror thriller movie released on September 20, 2024. British director Colm McCarthy, by Lionsgate, takes his audience into a nightmare world of an ancient myth. The movie is produced by John Fischer, Marty Bowen, Jonathan Farmer, and Isaac Klausner.

The plot revolves around Patrick McKee, haunted by a sinister creature from his childhood called the Bagman. Patrick, played by Sam Claflin, had just barely escaped the clutches of the boogeyman-like character known for kidnapping children. Now, years later, the Bagman was back to threaten the safety of Patrick's family, leaving his wife and son in stark peril.

As Patrick fights for the protection of his family, the movie expounds on trauma, fear, and survival. Considering its chilling plot, coupled with great performances by Antonia Thomas and Caréll Rhoden among others, the tale of Bagman would seem like a great story to confront old nightmares that refuse to remain buried.

1) Sam Claflin as Patrick McKee

Sam Claflin plays the role of Patrick McKee, and in this role, all his emotional strength is needed to protect his family from the grasp of the monstrous, menacing creature known as the Bagman. Deep emotional scars have resulted from the close call Patrick had with the creature all these years ago when he could very narrowly escape its evil grasp.

Like in The Hunger Games and Me Before You earlier, Claflin has injected emotional intensity and depth into the character by making Patrick a confused father between his past life and the urge to protect his wife and son.

2) Steven Cree as Liam McKee

Liam McKee, Patrick's brother, is also marked by the trauma of their childhood meeting with the Bagman. Steven Cree who has also featured in popular series such as Outlander and A Discovery of Witches, Cree brings depth to Liam as a character who, like Patrick, is scarred by fear but also intent on fighting for his right to move on from the past.

3) Antonia Thomas as Karina

Karina McKee, the supportive wife of Patrick is played by Antonia Thomas. When the Bagman sets his eyes on their family, Karina McKee's character is drawn into this terrifying situation.

Thomas has been mostly known for her work in Misfits and The Good Doctor, however, she brings emotional depth and quiet resolve to the role of Karina in this film.

4) William Hope as Chief Isaacs

William Hope plays the role of Chief Isaacs, a man powerful enough to get entangled in the mystery surrounding the return of the Bagman. William Hope's background in horror, as during his acting stint in the movie Aliens and the Resident Evil series, makes him perfect for this role, supposed to be tasked with uncovering the truth behind the myth of the Bagman's return.

5) Adelle Leonce as Anna

Anna plays a major role and gets conscripted into Patrick's war against the evil man. She is known for her roles in Black Mirror and Doctors. She gives great thought to her role, bringing complexity to Anna, a character playing a crucial role in unraveling the dark secret of the evil boogeyman myth.

6) Frankie Corio as Emily Young

Actress Frankie Corio arrives fresh off the bags with the leading role in Aftersun, playing Emily. Her character's fate is bound up together with the sinister legend of the boogeyman. Her involvement heightens the stakes because Emily is very vulnerable which the boogeyman feeds upon.

7) Sharon D. Clarke as Barbara

Sharon D. Clarke is Barbara, a down-to-earth and practical character in the movie. She is known for her intense performance as an actress in Doctor Who and Holby City.

8) Henry Pettigrew plays Don

Henry Pettigrew plays the highlighted role of Don, caught up in Patrick's fight with the boogeyman. Pettigrew is also known for his roles in The Danish Girl and The Crown, thus enriching the ensemble style of the film.

9) Neil Linpow as Officer Rawls

Neil Linpow portrays Officer Rawls who is a policeman trapped in the scandal. Neil Linpow was also seen in The Boy in the Striped Pajamas.

10) Jordan Gubian as Young Liam

Jordan Gubian plays the Young Liam, Patrick's younger brother. His role is essential in expressing some traumatic moments from early childhood that led to their well-wished enemies returning. Gubian plays the role, of giving out all that fear and confusion a child faces while having a nightmare.

11) Caréll Vincent Rhoden as Jake McKee

Caréll Vincent Rhoden as Jake McKee is the son of Patrick and Karina, his life in danger due to the return of Bagman. With the performance of Rhoden, this movie seems more urgent and vulnerable because the character is mostly pursued by evil creatures.

12) Will Davis as Bagman

Completing the list is Will Davis, as actor and incarnation of the terrifying figurehead of the Bagman. Davis will also play the role of the movie's main antagonist: he embodies the mythological creature that terrorized Patrick in his past and that now threatens his future.

Bagman is available for viewing in theatres since September 20, 2024.
