Shawn Levy's science-fiction sports film, Real Steel (2011), is based on a short story titled Steel by Richard Matheson. It is produced by Don Murphy, Susan Montford, and Shawn Levy. The film collected a total of $299.3 million and has an IMDb rating of 7.1/10.

Real Steel stars Hugh Jackman, Dakota Goyo, Evangeline Lilly, and John Gatins among others. The plot of the film is about Charlie Kenton who used to be a prizefighter. He starts losing in the boxing ring when his cage opponents are replaced by robots. When he keeps losing badly, he teams up with his son Max (played by Dakota Goyo) to start winning again.
