Better Man, a semi-autobiographical film based on the life of an English singer and songwriter, Robbie Williams, is set to hit theatres in the United States on December 25. The film explores Williams' journey to fame, highlighting the highs and lows of his career up to the present day.

One of Better Man's unique selling points is that while Williams is part of the film, he doesn't show up as himself. Instead, he appears as a chimpanzee, which perfectly aligns with his statement in the film's trailer where he remarks, "To be honest, I've always been a little less evolved."

As a result, audiences will only hear his voice during the film.

How to watch Better Man?

Better Man will be available for viewing in theatres across the United States starting December 25, 2024. Those who want to see the film can either reserve their tickets in advance through several ticket booking platforms or buy them on the spot before entering the theatre.

Apart from movie theatres, the film will be made available on several popular streaming platforms soon. Apple TV Plus announced that the movie will be coming to its service. However, they have not yet revealed the specific date or time for its release.

It also remains unclear whether the film will be available for free streaming for subscribers or if it will be offered for rent or purchase on the platform. Viewers are hoping that more information will be available soon.

Robbie Williams is undoubtedly one of the most famous pop artists ever. His journey to fame took off between 1990 and 1995 when he was a member of the iconic English pop group, Take That. However, in 1995, due to issues related to drug use and concerns from friends about his lack of creative contributions, he was let go from the group.

In 1996, Williams began a solo career. In 1997, he released his debut album, Life thru a Lens, which included 12 tracks in the Standard Edition under Chrysalis Records. The album was a huge success.

From 2006 onward, there were several signs that Williams had patched things up with his Take That bandmates, but no solid proof was available. Finally, in 2010, Williams officially rejoined the band, and their album, Progress, was launched. Since then, Williams has been performing both with the band and on his own, managing to juggle both roles.

Better Man's trailer suggests that the film will explore several of these aforementioned real-life stories from Robbie Williams' life and more. Its official synopsis reads:

"Better Man is based on the true story of the meteoric rise, dramatic fall, and remarkable resurgence of British pop superstar Robbie Williams, one of the greatest entertainers of all time. Under the visionary direction of Michael Gracey (The Greatest Showman), the film is uniquely told from Robbie’s perspective, capturing his signature wit and indomitable spirit."

It continues:

"It follows Robbie’s journey from childhood, to being the youngest member of chart-topping boyband Take That, through to his unparalleled achievements as a record-breaking solo artist – all the while confronting the challenges that stratospheric fame and success can bring."
