Bill Skarsgård will reprise of Pennywise in It: Welcome to Derry
Bill Skarsgård will reprise his role as the freaky and scary clown Pennywise in the prequel series It: Welcome to Derry, which is based on Stephen King’s novel It. The series is set to hit the small screens in 2025.
This TV series It: Welcome to Derry will serve as a prequel to It (2017) and It Chapter Two (2019). Skarsgård starred as Pennywise in both the aforementioned films. He found the character “abstract” and also revealed that the actor who plays this character anytime in the future should be familiar with King’s novels.
In an interview with Jake Hamilton, the Swedish actor said :
"If someone else gets to do it, my advice would be: Do it your own. Make it your own. Have fun with it. What I found pleasurable about that character is how abstract he was...The book is really a gift in that way. So if someone would take it on, just go through the book and find all the clues. They're so out there that you can kind of make your own conclusions to them."
