Netflix is coming up with a brand new science fiction thriller titled Bionic, which is slated for release on May 29, 2024. The upcoming Brazilian film, directed by Afonso Poyart and written by Josefina Trotta, is set in a dystopian future where technology has altered how society works.

With Jatir Eiró, Upex, Cristiane Miotto, Mariana Marcondes, and Rodrigo Castellar as the executive producers, the movie is produced by Black Films for Netflix and directed by Afonso Poyart. Josephina Trotta, Cris Cera, Victor Navas, and Afonso Poyart himself joined the project as writers. Bionic has a runtime of 1 hour and 50 minutes.

Cast list explored

Bionic features a star-studded cast list, with Gabz and Jessica Córes joining in the lead roles as the two sisters who compete against each other to reach the pinnacle of success in sports. Gabz is an actor from Rio de Janeiro, and she is known for her features in An Unforgettable Year: Autumn (2023) and Me Sinto Bem Com Você (2021). Córes is known for her works in Corrida dos Bichos, The Stripper (2019), and Invisible City (2021).

They are joined by Bruno Gagliasso, Christian Malheiros, Klebber Toledo, Paulo Vilhena, and Danton Mello in supporting roles.
