Directed and written by Michael Rooney, Cedric & Alysia is a romantic fantasy movie that follows the life of Sir Cedric Vale. Played by Nexus Lyons, Cedric returns to his hometown from a war in a foreign nation to find that the love of his life, Lady Alysia, has been married to the Baron, leading to an epic adventure that puts Sir Cedric Vale at risk of betraying his homeland.

The movie, which was released on August 6 in the United States, has the following official synopsis:

“Following his return to a homeland ravaged by war, Cedric Vale offers his services as Knight-Protector to the Baron of Pres, only to learn shortly after that the Baron has married the woman he loves, Lady Alysia.” [via ImDb].

Boasting a range of talented and rookie actors, Cedric & Alysia takes viewers on a magical journey that revolves around the mysterious Ring of Shadowed Blades, who attempt to take over the empire.

Cedric & Alysia stars Michael Rooney, Nexus Lyons and Caroline Codd in epic roles

1) Nexus Lyons as Cedric Vale

First and foremost, we have Nexus Lyons taking up the starring role of Cedric Vale. The character is summoned back home from war after his home castle is on the brink of being taken over by enemies but he realizes that the Baron has married the love of his life.

He struggles to keep his love for Caroline Codd’s character a secret, whose life is put at risk by the Ring of Shadowed Blades, as Cedric attempts to protect her.

Lyons has previously been seen in multiple major projects, including Mindhunter, Forced to Hear, and One Dollar.

2) Caroline Codd as Lady Alysia

The second most prominent role in the movie belongs to Caroline Codd, who marries Baron despite her love for Cedric Vale. Starring as Lady Alysia, the character is torn between duty and love and finds her life under threat due to her newly acquired title of Baroness.

Regardless, she plays her part in keeping her relationship with Cedric a secret. The two embark on an epic journey and rekindle their feelings for each other.

The actress herself is quite experienced and has previously been seen in movies such as My Nanny Stole My Life and Ethereal.

3) Michael Rooney as Prince Arethas

The director and writer of the film, Michael Rooney himself, found a role that he did justice to in Cedric & Alysia. He plays the role of Prince Arethas, who plays a pivotal role in bringing the empire to the brink of war.

Prince Arethas is the next-in-line for the throne, but his political actions cause uproar in the public, leading to a revolt headed by the Ring of Shadowed Blades.

Rooney himself might have turned to filmmaking in the recent past, but is a talented actor as well. He has previously been seen in projects such as Star Eater, although most of his roles to date appear to have come in the form of cameos.
