Cellar Door is a thriller that will be released in selected movie theatres on November 1, 2024. A suspenseful psychological horror film tells the story of John and Sera, a couple eager to leave their busy city life for a serene suburban existence in Portland, Oregon.
Little do they know that when a mysterious benefactor offers them a sprawling, luxurious house free of charge, things will not go as smoothly as they expected.
Elated with their unexpected good fortune, they agreed to move in, only to realize they were trapped by an unsettling rule: the cellar door had to remain sealed at all times. Curiosity fought caution, and the couple started unraveling the mysterious secrets that lurked below their dream home.

1) Scott Speedman as John
Scott Speedman is a native of London, England, to Scottish parents but grew up in Toronto, Canada. Scott was an aggressive competitive swimmer in freestyle distance events until the end of his athletic dreams through an accident. His educational background includes Earl Haig High School and the University of Toronto from 1994 to 1996.
Speedman started his acting career after appearing in Speakers Corner out of a dare. Then came the audition for the Robin role in Batman Forever, which went to Chris O'Donnell, the film's eventual lead and the one who broke most of the hearts, certainly not Speedman's.
His early success came in the form of Kitchen Party (1997) and Duets (2000), opposite Gwyneth Paltrow. However, Felicity (1998-2002) made him a household name and a favorite among audiences.
After the show, he successfully transitioned to film with a significant role in Underworld (2003), opposite Kate Beckinsale and Bill Nighy, sealing his status as a versatile actor both on television and in film.
2) Jordana Brewster as Sera
Jordana Brewster is a dark-haired actress born in Panama City, Panama, on April 26, 1980. She plays the role of Sera in Cellar Door (2024). Jordana has a diverse heritage with roots in English, Scottish, and Irish blood. She grew up in London and Rio de Janeiro, learning to become fluent in Portuguese.
When her family moved to Manhattan, she was ten years old. Brewster began her acting career at the age of sixteen for Sacred Heart and the New York Professional Children's School. Among her roles are three years as a character in the soap operas All My Children and As the World Turns.
Brewster's acting career started with The Faculty in 1998; however, it was her role as Mia Toretto in The Fast and the Furious in 2001 that catapulted her to fame. She made several reappearances in the sequels of the same series while continuing her education. Brewster graduated from Yale University in 2003.
Brewster went on to star in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning (2006) and continued in Hollywood. She married a producer, Andrew Form, in 2007 and gave birth to two sons.
3) Laurence Fishburne as Emmett
Laurence Fishburne, born July 30, 1961, in Augusta, Georgia, is an award-winning actor. He played the role of Emmett in Cellar Door (2024). He began acting quite early in his life with a recurring role on the soap opera One Life to Live at the age of 12 and then into films with Cornbread, Earl and Me (1975).
With the critical acclaim that came in Apocalypse Now (1979), Fishburne catapulted his career with striking performances throughout the 1980s and '90s, particularly in Boyz n the Hood (1991) and with the Oscar-nominated performance of What's Love Got to Do with It (1993). Then came his role as Morpheus in The Matrix series, which made him a Hollywood icon.
Fishburne has done incredibly well on stage, winning an award for his work in Two Trains Running and on television in CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and Black-ish.
He has also directed and written screenplays to show his versatility. Fishburne has garnered thousands of awards throughout his remarkable career, including the NAACP Image Awards and a Drama Desk Award. He has made sure to act only in memorable and exceptional roles.

4) Chris Conner as Paul MacManus
Chris Conner, born in Silver City, New Mexico, is known for his diversified film and television series. Chris portrayed the role of Paul MacManus in Cellar Door (2024). He recently appeared as Poe in the Netflix Emmy-nominated Altered Carbon and acted as an actor in the Kevin Costner Western saga Horizon.
He also co-created and stars in the popular podcast Agent Stoker. Conner splits his time between Los Angeles and Portland with his wife, actress Erin Way, their son, and their dog, Maude.

5) Katie O'Grady as Kathryn Conrad
Katie O'Grady is an Emmy Award-winning director and successful actor from Southern Oregon. She portrayed the role of Katie O'Grady in Cellar Door (2024). She has made big tracks in the film world with her lead role in Rid of Me. This led to her nomination as Best Comedic Actress - a genuine accompaniment to names like Melissa McCarthy.
She is known for her eclectic eight-season run on Portlandia and the fantastic Put a Bird on It sketch. In addition to acting, she is a filmmaker specializing in youth-centered storytelling. Through Acting for Kids and Teens and The Studio NW, she is a young talent advocate who encourages creativity and community.
