Daddy’s Head, a much-anticipated horror film, will be released on small screens on October 11, 2024. Benjamin Barfoot directed and wrote the film. This film stars Rupert Turnbull, Julia Brown, and Mary Woodvine, among others.

Produced by Matthew Wilkinson and Patrick Tolan and distributed by Shudder TV Network, this movie has a runtime of 1 hour and 37 minutes.

Daddy’s Head: Release date and where to watch

Daddy’s Head had its world premiere on September 22, 2023, at Fantastic Fest. The film is now set to arrive exclusively on Shudder on October 11. Interested viewers will need a Shudder subscription to stream this film. A monthly Shudder subscription comes at $6.99 per month, and an annual Shudder subscription comes at $71.88.

Daddy’s Head is also expected to come to Apple TV+ post-release as Apple TV added the trailer for the same. Interested viewers will need an Apple TV+ subscription of $9.99 per month or pay $99.99 yearly to enjoy this film and many other movies and shows. Apple TV has not provided a release date for the film yet.

Daddy’s Head: Plot and trailer

This unsettling and paranormal thriller centers on a young kid and his stepmother, who are haunted by a spirit that looks uncannily like the boy's recently deceased father.

In the trailer, a little boy named Isaac is compelled to bid goodbye to his severely ill father as he lies on his deathbed. After his father's death, Isaac isolates himself and hardly speaks to anyone, which raises concerns about whether or not he is as close to his stepmother as the trailer suggests.

Soon, after his father’s death, Isaac, in his dream, hears his father calling him and telling him to come to the woods next to the house. Isaac follows the voice and subsequently goes to the jungle.

Later, Isaac tells everyone that his father is returning and has assumed the form of a new creature. When he makes a sketch of the creature, his family becomes concerned about him and his strange behavior. The thing, which resembles a demon, quickly makes its way inside Isaac's home to haunt him and his stepmother. As a result, they feel trapped in their million-dollar mansion.

Is the entity acting like a demon to approach Isaac, or is it Isaac's father? Viewers are left with questions like these after viewing this two-minute, twenty-second trailer, which was posted on Shudder's YouTube channel on September 20, 2024.

Horror enthusiasts should expect to be enthralled and stay prepared for a lot of jump scares with a terrifying plot based just on the trailer.

This film stars child actor Rupert Turnbull as Isaac. Previously, Turnball has appeared in shows like Tin Star (2017), Professor T (2021-2024), and more. Alongside Russell Turnball, Julia Brown stars as Laura, the stepmother, in Daddy's Head. Brown has previously starred in movies and shows like Anthony (2020), World on Fire (2019-2023), and more.
