Plot summary

Tyler Perry’s Divorce in the Black centers on Ava, a dedicated bank professional, who is devastated after learning that her husband Dallas has abruptly abandoned their long-sought marriage. Ava is determined to salvage their relationship, and in the process, she uncovers the deceitful deeds and manipulative tactics of Dallas, which comes as a shocking revelation for her.

Ava relies on her friend Rona and confronts Dallas’ history of abuse and betrayal. Heartbroken, she finds solace in spending time with Benji, who ultimately becomes a potential love interest. However, her pursuit of happiness is once again threatened by Dallas’ jealousy and instability.
