Cate Blanchett-starrer Borderlands was released in theatres on August 9, 2024, as a film adaptation of a video game series. The story revolves around an outlaw named Lilith, who goes on a mission to look for a missing girl, the daughter of a powerful man, Atlas. Lilith assembles a team of misfits in the process, and they find a family in each other.

Borderlands does not have a proper post-credits scene that adds to the plot, but it does have a small Easter egg during the credit roll. Audiences will be able to see one of the characters, Claptrap, in the scene, as he starts dancing to the music of the credits. The robot's moves are quickly interrupted as the credits roll over and push him out of frame.

The official summary of the film reads:

"Based on the best-selling videogame, this all-star action-adventure follows a ragtag team of misfits on a mission to save a missing girl who holds the key to unimaginable power."

Is there a post-credits scene in Borderlands?

There is no plot-centric post-credit scene in the film. However, one of the characters makes a quick appearance at the beginning of the credits. Claptrap, the robot voiced by Jack Black, comes onto the screen very soon after the credits start to roll.

However, instead of doing or saying anything significant, Claptrap just begins to dance. The little robot urges the audience to 'do the claptrap' and copy his moves as he busts out a little dance routine. Slowly, the credits move to the top of the screen, and Claptrap is pushed out of frame.

This is the one Easter egg featuring the film's characters after the movie ends. Other than Claptrap's appearance, no extra scenes hint at the franchise's future at the end of the credits.
