Beetlejuice 2, the highly anticipated sequel to the 1988 dark fantasy comedy horror film Beetlejuice, arrived in theatres on September 6, 2024, and the audiences could not be more excited. Given its hype and prolonged wait time, industry experts expect the movie to break all records on its opening day.

Several people have already flocked to the theatres to watch Tim Burton's latest, but some excitement surrounds the movie for those still waiting for the right opportunity. Several questions surrounding the movie's future have been going through the minds of fans, which is often solidified by a post-credit scene.

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice does not have a post-credit scene, but does that mean the end of the road for the franchise? The answer is likely yes, given the comments Burton made in the past while speaking to The Hollywood Reporter on August 28, 2024. When asked about the possibility of a third entry in the franchise, Burton jokingly remarked:

"Let's do the math. I'd be over a hundred. I guess it's possible with medical science these days. But I don't think so!"

However, despite Burton's public comments about the topic, many Beetlejuice fans couldn't convince themselves there would not be a third movie in the franchise. Several people claimed that the potential for a new installment in the franchise rested entirely on the popularity of Beetlejuice 2.

Those who closely monitor movie trends in theaters over the last few years are familiar with the inclusion of post-credit or mid-credit scenes in many movies. These scenes, which have become a tradition, especially in franchise films, often point towards the continuation of a film series.

Beetlejuice 2 does not have any such scene that could entail the same. Therefore, people planning on watching the film this week or the week after can rest assured that they will not miss out on anything important if they decide against sitting through the film's end credits.
