Madame Web is an American superhero film directed by S. J. Clarkson. It is based on the Marvel comic character of the same name. The movie was released in the United States on February 14, 2024. After its theatrical release, it arrived on Netflix US on May 14, 2024.

Madame Web doesn’t have an end-credits scene as it is not an MCU movie. After the film was released on the big screen, Clarkson revealed the reason behind the move.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Clarkson said she wanted to tell a great story, for which any end-credits scenes were unnecessary. She said:

"My father always used to say, 'If you have to say something, stand up, speak up, and then shut up'. So when I got to the end credits, I felt that we'd said everything we needed to say in the film."

Did Madame Web have a scrapped post-credits scene?

No, the film doesn’t have any scrapped post-credits scenes. It is the first movie in the Sony's Spider-Man Universe that let go of any post-credits scene.

What is Madame Web all about?

The movie revolves around Cassandra Web, a girl born in Salem. She is a paramedic in Manhattan who suffers from a neurological condition called myasthenia gravis.

Over time, Cassandra develops psychic powers like clairvoyance, telepathy, prescience, and astral projection. She realizes that she can use her power to change the future for good.

In the midst of this discovery, Cassandra has to safeguard three young women, from Ezekiel Sims, the antagonist.

Here is the synopsis of the film:

"Forced to confront revelations about her past, she forges a relationship with three young women bound for powerful destinies... if they can all survive a deadly present."

The movie stars Sydney Sweeney as Julia Cornwall, Dakota Johnson as Madame Web, Adam Scott as Ben Parker, Emma Roberts as Mary Parker, Isabel Merced as Anya Corazon, and Zosia Mamet as Amaria, among others.
