Out of all the occurrences that have shaken the world in recent months, news has surfaced that Donald Trump's assassination attempt has caught the eye of Hollywood. Though it is a drool-worthy subject, which is sure to polarize fans on both sides, the news of a movie being discussed about Trump's assassination attempt is completely false.
The news came after producer Jon Peters, who is infamous for his fictional claims, revealed that he was in discussion with director Oliver Stone, who made the critically acclaimed JFK, about a possible movie based on Donald Trump's assassination attempt.
Of course, this is seemingly another of his fictional tales as Oliver Stone quickly stepped up to clarify that he was not involved, in any capacity, with Jon Peters for a Trump assassination attempt movie.
Oliver said in a statement to AV Club on November 4:
"I am not working on an assassination movie or any other project with Jon Peters,"
This seems to confirm that no Trump assassination attempt movie is being made, and this is perhaps another false claim from Jon Peters, who has previously shared more of his bizarre visions with the world.
What did Jon Peters say about making a Donald Trump assassination attempt movie?
Jon Peters, always known for his bold claims and over-the-top visions, spoke to The Hollywood Reporter extensively about many topics on November 4, including his political views. A great admirer of Donald Trump, and a proud one, Peters revealed in his profile that he was in discussion with Oliver Stone about making a movie about the infamous assassination attempt, which has since been a subject of great scrutiny.
Peters also claimed in his interview that the government was behind Donald Trump's assassination attempt and that Biden shared a long-drawn rivalry with Trump, which would have also been the premise of his ambitious movie that he allegedly (never) discussed with Stone.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Peters said:
"They may put a hit on me [because of the Trump assassination project], not in the form of a bullet but in the form of the IRS...The story begins with Trump as a little boy and Biden as a little boy. And you start to see how Biden was obsessed with Trump, who was always movie-star good-looking and rich.
He further stated:
"Oliver is an amazing writer, and I’m a good storyteller... I haven’t pitched it to anybody, [but] Netflix would be a perfect, perfect place."
In response to this claim, Oliver Stone immediately announced that he was not a part of any such project.
Even if this project does make it to Hollywood, it will not be Oliver Stone doing it and it will not be so soon. In fact, given the subject matter and its impact, it is unlikely that any production house would want to pick it up.
However, fans are having an amusing time after this claim surfaced, leading to many hilarious reactions on social media platforms.
