The caption of the Facebook post stated:

Fans were excited about the poster for the fourth Blade movie starring Wesley Snipes. However, Marvel has not officially announced the movie or released a poster. Additionally, at 2019's San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel announced that Mahershala Ali was to play the main character.
According to the fact-checking website Snopes, the poster is not authentic and Marvel has not backed the claims of the movie's release as a producer for the installment starring Wesley Snipes either.
"I kind of resided that I was moving on from them"— Wesley Snipes comments on the upcoming Blade movies
The last movie in the franchise, Blade: Trinity, was released in 2004, after which the original director Bassam Tariq was replaced by Yann Demange who walked out in June 2024. While the latest franchise of the movie replacing Wesley Snipes with Mahershala Ali was announced in 2019 as a part of Marvel: Phase Four, it underwent multiple revisions and replacements currently pushing it to Marvel: Phase Six plans.
According to Vulture, the production of the franchise's latest installment was set to begin in November 2022 and be released in November 2023, however, with multiple replacements and a new team, Disney postponed the film's release. As per the publication, the movie is set to release in November 2025.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly dated July 2024, Wesley Snipes commented on moving on from his role as the vampire slayer.
"Over the years, we've had very interesting conversations, some of them very substantive and some of them not. So I kind of resided that I was moving on from them, which is okay. I did three of them, and I thought they turned out pretty good. Not so bad... So we move on to other things, and bigger and better things, as well," Snipes said.
Even though Wesley Snipes is not a part of the yet-to-be-released installment of the franchise, the actor reprised his role as Blade's Eric Brooks and made a cameo in Deadpool & Wolverine. Commenting on how his cameo happened, the actor told Entertainment Weekly:
"I did not think it was possible. I didn't think we would be able to pull it off. I didn't think that Marvel was into it, Disney was into it — also because they had Mahershala cast for the next upcoming version of it."
In November 2023, Variety reported that the Blade franchise was undergoing script changes and lacked creative direction. The report suggested that Mahershala Ali might be the fourth lead, with the film being led by female actresses.
