Claims of a new Tarzan movie release originated from the Jason Statham Fandoms Facebook page, which showed the poster for the upcoming film. In the same way, one could see Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson looking similar to the protagonist of the film, while Megan Fox was seen wearing forest-themed outfits to take on the role of the fictional character of Jane. The caption for the now-deleted social media post read:

“Set against the backdrop of lush, untamed wilderness, this adaptation promises to reimagine the timeless tale with a fresh perspective and modern sensibility. Johnson, celebrated for his dynamic on-screen presence and undeniable charm, steps into the loincloth of Tarzan, infusing the character with his trademark charisma and physical prowess. Opposite him, Fox brings her own blend of strength and grace to the role of Jane, offering a portrayal that promises to captivate audiences and defy expectations.”

The Facebook page also attached a link to a YouTube video that showcased the supposed trailer for the film, where one can see Johnson swinging through the jungle as the fictional character, among animals as Fox accompanies him. Dwayne Johnson also says in the trailer:

“When they hurt, I hurt. When they bleed, I make the ones that hurt them bleed.”

Despite a trailer for the movie making it online, it is worth noting that rumors of another rendition of the cult classic making it online are not true.

A Tarzan movie is not being released in 2025

Another Tarzan movie is not being released. The trailer, which has amassed over 1.5 million views on YouTube, was created by the YouTube channel KH Studio, which has stated on their channel’s bio that they create movie trailers purely for entertainment. They have also stated that the trailers available on their channel were not created by real movie production companies. KH Studio said:

“The trailer mashups are not only a user-generated form of digital activity but a way to create anticipation for future releases, working in tandem with current movie trailers.”

Furthermore, the Facebook page that shared the poster for the film has also shared announcements of other fake movie releases.

Neither Dwayne Johnson nor Megan Fox have publicly confirmed that they are acting in the aforementioned film. No established entertainment news outlet has confirmed the release of the film as well.

By carefully observing one can see that a few frames from the viral trailer were taken from the Planet of the Apes movie franchise. Fans can also see other snippets from David Yates’ The Legend of Tarzan live-action movie that featured Alexander Skarsgard.

Hence, it is safe to say that another Tarzan film is not being made.
