At the end of Fifty Shades Darker, Christian Grey proposes to Ana Steele to marry him. Ana saying yes leads to an unknown part of their relationship based on trust and love. In Fifty Shades Darker, Christian Grey proposes to Anastasia Steele. His helicopter goes missing in an accident. He survived the accident and came back safely to Ana.
As they celebrate his birthday with family and friends, Ana gives Christian a special gift, a Seattle keychain with "YES" written on the back in glowing letters as a response to his proposal. After this, Christian surprises Ana by taking her to a pool house fully decorated with flowers.
He then kneels with a diamond ring and asks Ana to share his life and marry him. Overwhelmed by the gesture, Ana said, "YES."
Jack Hyde's looming threat
However, this moment is overshadowed by lingering threats, the most immediate being Jack Hyde, Ana’s former boss. Jack’s presence outside the party, coupled with his act of burning Christian’s face out of a family photo, shows his desperation for revenge.
