American actress and businesswoman, Jessica Alba, recently opened up about her family and the ups and downs of marriage with Cash Warren. She explained how her husband and she were able to reconnect after a breakup early on in their relationship.

On June 5, 2024, Jessica appeared in an interview with SiriusXM's The Morning Mash Up. She spoke to the host about differences in marriage and how people get "back to each other", saying:

"The more you ebb and flow, the more you realize that the hard times aren't gonna be ... it's not gonna be permanent. Like, you can find your way back to each other. [During] those early days, it feels like, 'We're never gonna find our way back to each other.' But we keep choosing to figure it out."

Alba has been married to her husband Cash Warren for 16 years and they recently celebrated 20 years together.

Jessica Alba first met Cash Warren on the set of Fantastic Four in 2004. The actress played Sue Storm in the sci-fi movie and Cash was the executive director. The pair soon started dating and then tied the knot on May 19, 2008, in a small ceremony at the Beverly Hills courthouse. The duo welcomed three children: daughters named Honor (16) and Haven (12) and a son, Hayes (6).

On the show The Morning Mash Up , Jessica Alba discussed how the couple broke up early on in their relationship. Talking about focusing on the first phase of marriage, the actress stated:

"In love, you go through that [first] two and a half years, which is not real. And then after that, the reality of what your relationship is comes together. And you are either gonna choose to be family or not. And I think, with chosen family, you ebb and flow."

The Honest Company founder and actress then explained that people can learn to stay with each other if they choose to keep figuring themselves out together. Jessica Alba also elaborated on the struggles people face while trying to reconnect but it ends up being "worth it". She said:

"It's messy and it's hard and it's humbling and all of that. But if you can figure out how to just find your way back to each other, it ends up being worth it. There's something about that ride-or-die that's seen you through so many phases of yourself, and your evolution. There's something so cool about that history."

Jessica Alba praised her husband saying he is "really great." The actress added that she likes herself better when he's in her life. She gushed that she would "not want to be with anybody else."

In May 2024, Jessica Alba posted a carousel of pictures celebrating their 16th Anniversary. She shared pictures of her family on vacation, the time her son was born. The actress wrote in the caption:

"There is no real set of rules or guidance that can ever prepare you for what it means to commit to another person and choose to be family. Through thick and thin we have continually found our way back to each other and have chosen one another. Cheers to us, I love you."

Jessica Alba's new project, Trigger Warning, is scheduled to be released by Netflix on June 21, 2024. She portrays Parker, a Special Forces commando in the action-packed movie.
