Netflix brings Christmas vibes earlier with Hot Frosty, its latest holiday romantic comedy flick dropping on streaming on November 13, 2024. It's part of the streamer's holiday lineup, which stars the "Christmas Queen" Lacy Chabert in the lead role of Cathy.
Frosty is famous as the classic button-nosed or corncob-piped snowman of Christmas. But for this holiday rom-com, Frosty, aka Jack, is the snowman-turned-good-looking stranger with a six-pack whom Chabert's Cathy meets during a fateful Winter day. A red scarf, which Cathy put on Jack when he was still a snowman, ties their story together.
Being a former ice sculpture, Jack experiences the wonder and the magic of the Christmas season. Cathy acts as his very trustworthy guide through all this, and unknown to him, his innocence and newness to the world are also helping her laugh and feel love again after losing her husband. But, their budding friendship and romance have an expiration date as Jack could start melting.

1) Lacey Chabert as Kathy
The Purvis, Mississippi-born actress, known as Hallmark's latest Queen of Christmas, stars in Hot Forsty as Cathy. She's struggling to get through the cold months after losing her husband, but meeting a ripped snowman, to whom she gave her red scarf, would change her life.
Lacey Chabert's filmography includes over 180 titles, ranging from projects on television, films, and voice acting roles. She's best known as Gretchen in Lindsay Lohan's Mean Girls and Amanda Becker in Not Another Teen Movie. However, the majority of Chabert's movie projects are with Hallmark Channel, which she joined in 2010's Elevator Girl. Her other holiday features include Haul Out of Holly, Christmas at Castle Hart, and A Merry Scottish Christmas.
2) Dustin Milligan as Jack
The Canadian actor and producer, who starred as Ted Mullens in Schitt's Creek, joins the Hot Frosty cast as Jack, aka Frosty the Snowman, who turned into a human. He's on borrowed time and wants to experience everything about the holidays and dating before he starts melting.
Outside of Schitt's Creek, Dusting Milligan worked in TV shows like X Company, Dirk Gentry's Holistic Detective Agency, and Peacock's Rutherford Falls. He also worked in TV films like Perfect Romance, Love at the Christmas Table, and Operation Taco Gary's.
3) Craig Robinson as Sheriff Hunter
The African-American actor and comedian, who played Darryl Philbin in The Office, returns to the silver screen in Hot Frosty as Sheriff Hunter. He's the police officer interrogating Jack in the upcoming Netflix movie and thinks the guy has something to hide.
Craig Robinson has worked on over 90 projects on television and the big screen. He was Leroy Wright in the Ghosted TV series, Craig in Killing It, and Ray in Mr. Robot. His other film credits include Dolittle, Table 19, Sausage Party, and the Hot Tub Time Machine movies.
4) Joe Lo Truglio as Deputy Sheriff Schatz
The Ozone Park, Queens-born actor, who starred as Charles Boyle in Brooklyn 99, joins the cast of Hot Frosty as Schatz. He's another sheriff in town in the upcoming Netflix Christmas movie.
Outside of Brooklyn 99, Joe Lo Truglio has worked in many TV shows like Reno 911!, Burning Love, and American Dad! His film credits include Someone Marry Barry, The Breakup Girl, Role Models, and Superbad.
5) Katie Mixon as Dottie
The American actress, who starred as Katie Otto in the long-running series American Housewife, joins the cast of Hot Frosty as Dottie. She's a doctor treating Jack in the upcoming Christmas movie.
Katie Mixon starred as Victoria Flynn in the TV show Mike & Molly and also joined the cast of Eastbound & Down and George & Tammy. She also worked on the holiday feature film Four Christmases, and other movies like All About Steve, Soul Ties, and Hell or High Water.

The American-Canadian actress, who starred as Joanne Kowalski in Family Law, returns to the silver screen as Jane in Hot Frosty. She met Jack while having trouble driving her car in the snow, with the newly turned human Jack offering to push her car.
