White Chicks star Marlon Wayans lashed out against Pride Month haters. The actor took to Instagram on Thursday, June 13 to post a picture of himself along with a pride flag while wishing everyone a happy Pride Month. However, after receiving a lot of hate, the star put out a series of similar pictures taunting the people hating on him for doing so.

Wayans shares two children with his ex-wife Angela Zackery. His oldest son Kai, born in 2000, identifies as transgender and uses he/they pronouns. Kai has appeared alongside their father for many of his film premieres.

"As a father of a child in the LGBTQ+ community, I show my support," — Marlon Wayans

Earlier this week, Marlon Wayans released an Instagram post of a photoshoot he had done with photographer Parrish Lewis. The picture featured Wayans sporting some chrome pants with a Pride flag draped around his arm. In the caption to his post, the actor wished everyone from the LGBTQ+ community, a happy Pride Month. He further added:

"I’m STRAIGHT… well, according to my child CISGENDER male. I just love and support my peoples,"

Although the actor received overwhelming support for his post, many people in his comments section did not take too kindly to the actor's stance on Pride. The actor noted the hate and released a series of posts the very next day, as a response. His second post featured himself sporting a Pride-themed hat. He captioned the post:

"Yeah and just for the HATE MONGERS … I’m posting ANOTHER."

He added:

"As a father of a child in the LGBTQ+ community I show my support. Zero f**ks what people think. If i lost you… GOOD! Your hateful a*s never loved me in the first place. How can you love anyone when you’re too busy judging. Some of y’all funny. I’m a troll. I’ll post all day."

The very next post showcased the actor and producer sporting half a Pride-themed mask and a few Pride-themed badges. The actor similarly asked his haters if they were mad and further claimed that he could do this all month before yet again wishing everyone a happy Pride Month.

Marlon Wayans' next post also featured a different version of the previous picture. He asked people if he looked like he cared about the hate and wished all the "hateful dudes out there" who were mad about him supporting his friends and family, a happy Pride Month.

"For people to be that homophobic wreaks of repressed feelings/desires. Bruh, don’t live like that. Come on out. Be you. That’s what PRIDE is all about… acceptance. I swear i got soooo many more pics,"

Marlon Wayans's last post in the series featured a screenshot of a hate comment claiming that he failed as a father. Wayans responded by informing the person he should have his niece have intercourse with them using a strap-on. He requested the haters to "unfollow and f**k off" and stated that he'd make them question their lives and their "pitiful existence".

Marlon Wayans revealed in a November 2023 appearance on The Breakfast Club that his eldest son, Kai Wayans, was transgender. In the episode, he talked about how he went from "ignorance and denial" to "complete unconditional love and acceptance" while raising his transgender son. In a 2023 Instagram birthday message to his son, Wayans wrote:

"I’ve always asked people to love me unconditionally, thank you for teaching me what that really means."

Wayans also has a younger son named Shawn Wayans, born in 2002. He put out a birthday message on Instagram when Shawn turned 21, calling his son a "natural-born leader."

"You’re not just my son but my most trusted confidant and now we can truly be best friends. You’re a man now, but stay a kid at heart."

Marlon Wayans also plugged his comedy special Good Grief on some of his aforementioned Pride Month posts. Good Grief is currently available to watch on Amazon Prime Video.
