Justin Theroux and Nicole Brydon Bloom exclusively confirmed with People magazine that they are engaged. Nicole also showed off her engagement ring at the red carpet premiere of Justin's film Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. The couple were spotted together for the first time in February 2023.

On Thursday, August 29, 2024, the couple revealed to the magazine that Justin Theroux popped up the question while the duo were together in Italy for the Venice Film Festival.

Nicole Brydon Bloom’s engagement ring was created by Stephanie Gottlieb Fine Jewelry. The four-carat diamond ring that boasted an emerald cut also included a 19-carat yellow gold inlay. The band featured the couple’s birthstones embedded together.

For those uninitiated, Justin Theroux’s 30-year-old fiancee is an actress as well. Some of her film and television credits include The Gilded Age, We Were the Lucky Ones, An Ideal Marriage, 1BR, Here on Out and A Small Family Affair, among others.

The actress who played Caroline Stuyvesant in The Gilded Age graduated with a degree in acting from Elon University in 2017.

She had initially entered the institution wanting to pursue a major in journalism but changed her mind later. In a 2022 interview with Today, she said that she decided to change her career path after watching a production put up in the university.

Nicole Brydon Bloom lost her father, David Bloom, an established NBC News journalist, in April 2003, when she was just nine. He was covering the war in Iraq when he died. Nicole’s mother, Melanie, said about David's death in an interview with Today:

“We had braced ourselves for all the war-related dangers that that assignment entails.

"But when I got that call, I had never heard of DVT myself, and I don’t think David ever had. The more I learned, the more shocked I was. It wasn’t an IED or a bomb that took his life. It was this DVT.”
