Bad Boys: Ride or Die is the fourth installment of the popular Bad Boys franchise that the king of cinematic explosion Micheal Bay started in 1995. The story is from George Gallo, while the screenplay is penned by Micheal Barrie, Jim Mulholland and Doug Richardson.

With the sequel Bad Boys II released in 2003 with an impressive box office collection and rising fandom, the franchise came back with a third film in 2020 and the last one in 2024.

Those fans who couldn't catch Martin Lawrence and Will Smith in theatres when the film was released on June 7, 2024, can now watch the film at home. Bad Boys: Ride or Die will have a digital release on July 23, 2024.

Bad Boys: Ride or Die is directed by the duo of Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah and was released theatrically in the United States on July 7, 2024.

Fans of the popular action-comedy franchise would be able to watch the latest adventure of Det. Lt. Michael Eugene and Det. Lt. Marcus Miles Burnett in the comfort of their home, as the film will be available digitally and on video-on-demand on July 23, 2024.

Streaming services where the film would be available on rent and for purchase are Apple TV, Prime Video and VUDU. The third film of the franchise Bad Boys for Life is also available on Prime Video at $4.49 on rent and $14.99 for purchase.

What is Bad Boys: Ride or Die about?

Like the other three films of the franchise, this movie also brings the ace officers of the Miami Police Department together in a new case. This time, the duo is entangled in the investigation of corruption within the department.

The family man Mike, who is always reluctant to get into violent cases due to his family, suffers a heart attack, and on recovering starts believing that he cannot die. Mike and Marcus are distressed by a news report when their deceased senior Captain Howards is found to be related to a corruption case.

The officers start their own on and off-record investigation of the case and find out that Captain Howards is being framed for corruption because he was aware of the real culprits and wanted to apprehend them. It's soon found that Howard was murdered for the same reason, and now the duo must expose the conspirators.

Bad Boys: Ride or Die cast explored

After the unfortunate incident during the Oscars a couple of years back, Will Smith has had a tough time in his career, despite winning the Academy Award for Best Actor for King Richard. He, along with Martin Lawrence is leading the ensemble for the blockbuster franchise for the fourth time.

The cast also includes High School Musical famed Vanessa Hudgens, Alexander Ludwig, Eric Dane, and even DJ Khaled. The director of the first two films, Micheal Bay, also makes a special appearance.
