Doctor Jekyll is a modern adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson's novella Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde. It is directed by Joe Stephenson, with a script written by Dan Kelly Mulhern.
The movie Doctor Jekyll revolves around Rob, who comes to a castle as an assistant to help. Soon he realizes that Nina is fighting her demons, and Rob must help her fight her alter ego Hyde, from taking complete control over her.
It was first announced back in February 2022, with Dan Kelly Mulhern debuting as his first screenplay. The movie has a set of talented cast including Scott Chambers, Kindsay Duncan, Eddie Izzard, Jonathan Kyde, Robyn Cara, Morgan Watkins, etc.
Dr Jekyll premiered worldwide at the FrightFest on August 25, 2023, and was later released in the United Kingdom on October 27, 2023. What is the story of Doctor Jekyll about?

Directed by Joe Stephenson, Doctor Jekyll is a modern adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson's classic horror story Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde. Dan Kelly-Mulhern carried the classic tale from the Gothic age and gave it a contemporary interpretation.
Eddie Izzard plays the role of Dr. Nina Jekyll, a widely successful chemist, who alienates herself completely from the outer world and seeks refuge in an old mansion. The mansion with its ancient architecture, dark hallways, and large empty rooms, has still kept echoes from the 19th century.
Rob (played by Scott Chambers), is hired by Dr. Nina into the castle for assistance, but soon Rob finds out that the house has kept a dark history within it. Rob starts working with Dr. Nina but eventually realizes she has secrets buried within herself.
Dr. Nina is possessed by her alter-ego Hyde, who threatens to destroy her entire life. Rob falls into a situation where he must help Nina get rid of Hyde before it takes over her completely.
The movie is an amalgamation of a classic horror tale mixed with modern-day science. The movie takes ancient terror and blends it with psychological issues especially, Dissociative identity disorder (DID).

The British stand-up comedian Eddie Izzard plays the role of Dr. Nina Jekyll, a woman who has gained wide fame and success for her work in the pharmaceutical industry. But she leaves it all and alienates herself completely from the outside world. Izzard also plays the role of Hyde, her alter ego, who threatens to take over her entire personality.
Scott Chambers, the British actor, known for playing Richard in Joe Stephenson's drama movie Chicken (2015), takes the role of Rob. He is an ex-con who is appointed as a help assistant for Dr. Nina.
