Watch In a Violent Nature at Home: Digital Release explored

After making its premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2024, the slasher was released in theaters on Friday, May 31, 2024. After enjoying a limited run in theaters, In a Violent Nature is now going to become available to watch at home.

The movie is now available on digital and you can get a taste of the thrills through purchase or rent on the usual online PVOD platforms such as Apple, Amazon, Google, Fandango, and more. The movie is available at $6.99 to rent and $14.99 to buy.

There is also a lot of speculation going around regarding a streaming platform release. Due to the fact that the film is being distributed in the United States by IFC Films and Shudder, it will be available for streaming on Shudder soon. As of now, no dates have been announced but it is expected to come to the streaming platform sometime in July.

The IFC horror flick Late Night With the Devil debuted on the horror streaming service Shudder a little over a month after its theatrical release. If this is anything to go by, In a Violent Nature may debut in a matter of weeks.

What is the movie about?

Stories about teenagers and young adults going exploring into the woods, camping or hiking, and exchanging ghost stories by the fire, inadvertently waking some spirits, have long been explored in movies. Chris Nash adds a creative twist to the whole affair in his movie In a Violent Nature to make this demonic figure a mysterious undead killer who haunts and kills their victims.

In a Violent Nature follows Johnny, a killer who is brought back from the dead and who pursues a group of teenagers who inadvertently resurrected him. The official synopsis reads as follows:

"When a locket is removed from a collapsed fire tower in the woods that entombs the rotting corpse of Johnny, a vengeful spirit spurred on by a horrific 60-year old crime, his body is resurrected and becomes hellbent on retrieving it. The undead golem hones in on the group of vacationing teens responsible for the theft and proceeds to methodically slaughter them one by one in his mission to get it back — along with anyone in his way."
