The movie adaptation of the novel by Colleen Hoover, It Ends With Us, has now arrived on the small screens for home viewing. The drama is directed by Justin Baldoni and features Blake Lively, Baldoni, Brandon Sklenar, Jenny Slate, and Hasan Minhaj. The movie was released in theaters on August 9, 2024.

What is It Ends With Us about?
It Ends With Us is the emotional journey of Lily Bloom, a young woman who grew up in an abusive household. The story starts with Lily leaving to go to Boston for a new start and opening up her floral shop. A very charming neurosurgeon named Ryle Kincaid soon enters her life and sweeps her off her feet in love.
However, in this relationship, as Ryle's darker side unfolds, he mirrors some of the same abuses that Lily grew up seeing in her parents' marriage. This is achieved through diary entries throughout the film where Lily recalls her past first love, Atlas Corrigan, a homeless boy whom she had sheltered when she was still a teenager.
Atlas returns to Lily's life just as her relationship with Ryle gets serious, creating enough conflict for Lily to see her husband's abusive side. Atlas's return pushes her to deal with her emotions as well as the cycle of abuse she is locked in.
The movie focuses on the themes of love, strength, and hard decisions one has to make to be free from toxic relationships.
