The wait is finally over, Terrifier 3 is releasing on digital platforms after its theatrical release on October 11, 2024. It is written and directed by Damien Leone, who also directed the first two installments and produced by Phil Falcone. This third chapter took the terrifying antics of Art the Clown to the extreme.

David Howard Thornton again portrayed Art the Clown, the role he cemented in Terrifier 2, alongside Samantha Scaffidi as Victoria Heyes and Lauren LaVera as Sienna Shaw.

Cineverse Studios announced that Terrifier 3 will be available to stream on digital platforms on Tuesday, November 26. The Terrifier series had grown incredibly, from cult status to a phenomenon. Terrifier 1 from 2016, made on a very shoestring budget of $100,000, introduced fans to Art the Clown and garnered a devoted fanbase organically.

Its sequel in 2022, Terrifier 2, advanced that franchise even further with a better budget of $250,000 and somehow raked in an impressive $15 million at the box office, mainly driven by word-of-mouth and tight screenplay. And now, the third rendition takes things to a whole new level.

Movie analysts reported Terrifier 3 as an example, of how a low-budget horror franchise can be a blockbuster if done right! With a budget of $2 million, the movie grossed $41.5 million within 10 days from opening, exceeding the lifetime gross of its previous installments.

As of November 25, 2024, the movie has brought in $54 million in the USA, and Canada and $33.3 million from other countries for a total worldwide gross revenue of $87.3 million.

The movie can be pre-ordered on Amazon Prime with a price of $24.99. Physical media releases, including DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K UHD are scheduled for sale from December 17, 2024, onwards at $17.99 to $29.99.

This time, Terrifier 3 brings out something chillingly unexpected: Art is dressed in a Santa suit and can be seen in the trailer blowing up a mall full of holiday shoppers and kids, taking his chaos to a whole new level.

“The way it's executed could be very off-putting where you can just alienate basically the entire audience. That's a disservice to the casual horror movie fan (and) to Art the Clown as a character, because I do think he has more mass appeal than just a niche splatter fest.” said Damien Leone during an interview with USA TODAY on October 12, 2024.

1) David Howard Thornton as Art the Clown

The evil and iconic villain, Art the Clown is back again to terrify new victims with his unsettling screen presence.

2) Lauren LaVera as Sienna Shaw

Reprising her role from Terrifier 2, she continues as the heroic protagonist who has to face the demonic entity of Art the Clown.

3) Elliott Fullam as Jonathan Shaw

Jonathan is Sienna's younger brother and plays an important part in the story, and their family history interlinks with the dark past of Art.

4) Chris Jericho as Burke

A former WWE superstar, Jericho plays Burke, a security nurse at Miles County Psychiatric Hospital, who meets a gruesome end at the hands of Art the Clown.

5)Bryce Johnson as Greg Shaw

Bryce plays the role of Sienna and Jonathan's uncle, a newcomer to the show, that also got killed by Art's deadly rampage.
