Jeff Nichols' latest venture The Bikeriders is being praised by fans and critics for its authentic portrayal of the 60s Motorbike Clubs culture that could not survive for long and fell prey to criminal activities. The film was released in the United States on June 21, 2024, ten months after being premiered at the 50th Telluride Film Festival on August 31, 2023.

What is The Bikeriders movie about?
The film is inspired by the 1967 photojournalism book of American photographer and filmmaker Danny Lyon, who extensively worked on the motorbike clubs that became popular in the 60s and 70s, especially the Outlaws Motorbike Club.
The Bikeriders follow Benny, played by Butler, and Johnny, played by Tom Hardy, through the lens of Danny, who is also a character in the film. Benny and Johnny are members of the Vandals Motorbike Club, a dramatized version of the real Outlaws Motorbike Club.
Benny meets Kathy, played by Jodie Comer, and soon gets married. The life around the club keeps getting increasingly violent, to the point that Benny has to leave it all behind and settle somewhere else with Kathy. The club eventually falls into the hands of new members, comprising violent individuals and drug-addicted Vietnam War vets, who indulge in drug trafficking, murder, and related criminal activities.
