What is the story of Trap?
Shyamalan's new serial thriller deals with a firefighter named Cooper Adams, who plans to take his teenage daughter Riley to a show concert for her good grades. Lady Raven (played by Shyamalan's daughter Saleka Shyamalan) is a popular pop culture celebrity for whom the entire concert venue is packed with fans. But Cooper slowly realizes that the hall is highly covered by police forces and there is something bigger going on than just the concert.
Cooper eventually comes to know from one of the shopkeepers that the concert is a trap set by the FBI to catch a serial killer named "the Butcher," who they believe is somewhere hiding in the audience. No one knows the true identity of Butcher, but eventually, we realize Cooper himself is the serial killer.
The Butcher lives the life of a civilian outside while he goes around searching for prey and chopping them brutally. The feds cover all the entries and exits to the concert, and now Cooper must find a way to get out of the building while keeping his identity hidden from his daughter.
Besides Josh Hartnett and Saleka Shyamalan, the movie has a set of talented cast that includes Ariel Donoghue, Alison Pill, Hayley Mills, Marcia Bennett, Russ, Mark Bacolcol, Kid Cudi, Marie McPhail, Lochlan Miller, Steve Boyle, David D'Lancy Wilson, Vanessa Smythe, and M. Night Shyamalan himself.
