"I came out of her"- When Tom Holland's mother was denied entry into a club

Tom Holland has gained international acclaim over the years for his acting roles, be it for his 2022 film Uncharted, his ever-popular role as Marvel Cinematic Universe's Spider-Man in a trilogy of films and beyond, or his theatrical stint in a modern adaptation of Romeo & Juliet. The actor is also known for many light-hearted moments on talk shows that make him iconic.

One of these times is the actor's appearance on the Graham Norton Show in June 2019 which went viral online upon its release. Holland could be seen recounting an anecdote that occurred when he went to a club with his mother, and the experience they had with a bouncer at the door.

Holland recalled that the bouncer let him go inside after checking his credentials but stopped his mother because she did not have ID proof to indicate her age. Amid laughter from the audience, Holland said:

"They let me in, and then they won't let my mum in because she doesn't have ID. And I'm trying to explain to the obviously dumb bouncer that I came out of her. 21 years ago!"
